looks like Starz Camelot got the axe. I kinda liked that show, and that one broad playing the villain was fuckin hot.

The news it was going the way of the dodo was came right after season 1 finished. No clue why they axed it. Also the princess chick or whatever Gwinivere was so much hotter.

I love boardwalk empire however I have not watched the season finale yet. I watched1or 2 episodes of homeland, I have the other ones on the DVR but so far the show is boring as all get out, I will watch 4 episodes to see if it picks up but if nothing changes I'm deleting it.

Anyone watch Hell on Wheels that show is getting good.

I haven't seen Sunday's Boardwalk yet but it looked really good. Can't wait to find time.

I have watched the first 1 or two of homeland as well and have them all on the DVR waiting for a marathon. But I like the show so far mostly because I'm a big fan of Damian.

Yeah he's the only reason I'm giving the show a chance after how boring the first episode was for me. I loved him in Band of Brothers.

Homeland is amazing. I can't get enough. I was really resistant at first because the subject is not something I'd normally be interested in. And truthfully, the actual terrorist plot is nowhere near as interesting as the characters and their story lines. Carrie is fascinating. Saul is fantastic and heartbreaking. Who cares about terror plots when there are emotional breakdowns and actual character development? Not me. But I am a giant nerd.

I felt like what happened in the finale of Boardwalk Empire was exactly what needed to happen. There was no other logical conclusion. These men are gangsters. There's no middle ground. I hope they make Margaret less lame next season. She is a shadow of her former badass self.

This thread makes me feel like when my "free" Showtime runs out, I should cancel it and just pay the extra for HBO. As it is, I don't watch much Showtime except for an episode here and there of "Dave's Old Porn."

WHAT THE ****... you have Showtime and you are not watching one of the best seasons of Dexter right now? Dexter alone is worth showtime, Homeland is great, Shameless is coming back which is awesome, Californiacation isn't to bad if not for the cameo's and boobs, Weeds is pretty solid. At this point I'd say that showtime has it better than HBO. HBO has Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones. And I know I'm missing something. The problem I have with them though is that the off seasons for the shows seem like forever unless i'm just imagining it because they are so good that I want them to come back. They do have a new show called Luck coming out that at first I wasn't interested in but the more I see the more I want to like it.

True Blood, that was the other one, but as good as it is, it's so fucking all of the place now that it's not as good as it used to be. And HBO doesn't really have Luck yet, as it hasn't started and may suck. I've very hopeful for it though as the cast and production is top notch. The more I see about it the more I want to watch it. At first I thought it was just about a guy at a race track but it seems to be so much more.

I really need to hear more about why you think this season of Dexter is not the worst thing that ever happened to television? I used to love it so much, and the acting is still great, but now it's almost like a joke. *SPOILER* the only thing that makes sense is the incest and that's saying something. I feel like the writers are just getting drunk and picking a bible page at random. I know I'm ranting but I feel really put off by this season.

HBO does take breaks, but their programming is still great. And I agree about Shameless. Love it.

I love Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos, I though that was a great twist. The actual season arching storylines are getting hard to reproduce as there are only so many things you can do with serial killers but I thought you have seen so many new introspectives of his character this season through Brother Sam and Travis. Lot's of light and dark, religious undertones, how it fits in with his belief system the interaction with the child and his basic not having a clue what to do with him as far as the dark passenger goes. I think it's been great. I really getting tired of the Quinn bullshit and I'm not a big fan of the new dynamic between Dexter and Debra but there really isn't anywhere else to go with that at this point. The video game guy is set up to be the next puzzler. And while the storyline itself may not be the strongest I think Travis' character is excellent.

You are getting your T and D's mixed up... Just remember TSD rhymes with STD... while TCD rhymes with CDs nuts. or soemthing like that.

I think my problems is that I figured out the twist after the third episode and realized that the Prof was to Colin Hanks like Harry is to Dexter and then I just couldn't get passed it. I also think they killed the Brother Sam plot too soon. I think they actually have too many characters this season. Why have Brother Sam and the Doomsday Killers both have Dex question his faith or whatever it is he's considering? It feels cluttered. I still like him as a character and Deb too. I like her arc this season. In many ways she's had a harder time dealing with morality, what is right/wrong, dark/light than even Dexter, because it relates to her job and life, as opposed to some cartoonish killers. Anyway. I hope the finale is crazy insane. It will be the right way to end the season.

None of those gifts are allowed! They will remain online only. And if any TSD/STDs get gifted I won't be very happy about that either. Ha!

I'm not watching Dexter only because I haven't seen seasons 1 - 4 (or wherever they are). It's on my list, there's just too many other things to watch. Kind of the same thing with Weeds and I'm only partially caught up with Californication (seriously, is there any red-blooded heterosexual man who DOESN'T want to be that character?)

With HBO though, it's not just the original programming... they get better movies than Showtime. And honestly, for the On Demand alone, I'd prefer HBO because I know there'll be a better selection of more current movies.
