Problem is so many fans and critics are so all over this shows nuts they have no motivation to improve the issues.

I dunno general pride in your work? Or that eventually these fans will wake up and just stop watching and their ratings will plummet and the show will be canceled and they will be out of jobs?

I think "permanent" locations kill the show. The prison is too safe, the farmhouse was too safe. The camp from season 1, wasn't safe so it was always a threat, always a tension, always some expectation of attack.

Ok, gonna be "that guy", but this was true for the books too. Farmhouse was AGONY and sooooo slooooow in the books. Prison was better, but the series as a whole didnt get cookin until The Gov'nah.

I got myself caught up for TV, but I think I will stick to the books.

Deadwood has always been my number one. I'm going to re-watch the whole series after Breaking Bad is over and see if it's still my best gal. I still think about and miss that show. The writing, acting, directing, just everything was superb and real, but also very different. Al Swearengen 4 Life!

I can't abide your Jane hate because I loved her, but you are correct on the fat man fight. And so much more. So many scenes from the show are absolutely singular and perfect. It was like Shakespeare, but better. Take that, Shakespeare!

Oh, you like her after Se 1? I did not, she was incredibly annoying for me. But it does give a chance to celebrate the best character ever...

I'm really looking forward to the new HBO show True Detective. The first two trailers make it look pretty spectacular. Stars Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey.

I saw a commercial for it a week or so ago and had to look it up because I thought it looked amazing. Great cast but they are calling it an anthology series or something like that. So it's going to be a season of about 9 episodes or something with this cast and then next season it's going to be the same show type but whole new cast. We'll see if it catches on

Similar to american horror story, all though that, (for the most part), retains the same cast.

I don't dig this season, I did watch and previously enjoy the first 2 seasons, particularly season 2. Ifs definitely a show that you can love or hate season to season, because the topic just might not interest you at all. But basically if you didnt like season 1, season 2 is a completely different story and setting, with most of the same actors playing different roles. (i.e. season 2 takes place in a mental asylum in the early 60's I believe). Season 3 is about witches, I really don't give a shit about witches.

Good to know. I like the topic, I just hated how it was shot and the characters became annoying to me.

Just watched Orange Is the New Black. Was pretty damn good. The one thing to keep in mind is it is labelled as a comedy and it really isnt a comedy at all. Closer to a drama, I think I laughed twice throughout the first season.

I would agree. I wouldn't even call it a "dramady" as some people label shows like that. There was a few laughs, and probably some smirks/grins, but it's definitely not a comedy. Though, if you're looking for a drama that is also a very witty comedy I would check out Derek. It's awesome. Though, there's times I need subtitles on because there's some heavy British accents in it.
