Just because the Bears have the most CAP, doesn't mean they have the ONLY cap. You still have other teams competing for A grade players, and while these teams have LESS Cap, they also, in many cases, have fewer holes to fill, thus allowing them to more easily overpay on one or two FA's they consider key. So, this narrative that the Bears can sign all the best FA's available is a myth.
lmao

I've got an unpopular opinion for you.

Ryan Poles will **** up this next off-season even with the most FA cap space and your precious draft picks.

Veteran Bears fans know this to be true, young dumb and full of cum fans will continue to masterbate towards the future.

Can you read? You were stating it dumbass so the roles are reversed and you are being a hypocrite just as you are claiming Bears fans are hypocrites.

So either you believed what you said last year or you are a hypocrite too. So which is it?
this is what happens when all your preseason vortex's crash and burn badly I take it? Masturbation swipes and "I know you are but what am I" innuendo? I believe the saying goes, "turn about is fair play"?

No, you have if backwards, the Bears have the toughest SOS remaining, not of games played to date. If you scroll down on that list, it also has SOS of games played to date.

Turn about is fair play which is why I am saying you were touting the Lions winning close games last year so it is stupid of you to bash Bears fans doing it this year.

You had a winning hand but then decided to double down on the hypocrisy which is stupid. The correct response is not whining about let down games but to point out Bears fans are being hypocrites and that you were right to point out close games can be a portend for success the next year.

Instead it is like you saw Bears fans rubbing shit on their faces and instead of avoiding it you decided to pick up a handful of shit and rub it on your face too.

All things being equal, the 7 1 score or less mark includes a td and 2 point conversion.
Which is the exact amount of losses the Texans have by 8 points or less.

You can be optimistic about it, sure. But the Texans are in the exact same boat with the #1 pick.
The comparison with the Texans is apt.

I agree the comparison with the Texans is apt but it was also expected given the Bears intentionally tore everything down. I saw a half of preseason football and immediately bet the under on wins because of how untalented the overall roster is. The biggest difference is the Bears have a QB while the Texans keep changing their coach every year while adding a bunch of low ceiling, culture first guys and doing nothing else with the roster. Maybe they get it right this year and draft a QB who becomes a great player, who knows?

But if you're asking me right now which position I'd rather be in, I'd rather be the Bears with a dynamic, play-making QB and $130 million in cap space to help rebuild the roster. As long as they don't go crazy overspending this offseason on bad contracts, they should be able to make some good additions the next couple years in both the draft and free agency to hopefully make them legit Super Bowl contenders 2-3 years from now.

It's painful to watch and I cry/whine with the best of them, but the Bears in about 2 or 3 years (barring injuries and major busts via draft), are going to have a team with amazing depth and talent. We will have a team that will be contending for several years.

What I saw today by patch work line ups, was pretty damn amazing and guys actually were trying to compete. Let's give Flus and crew some time. We may have something.
Will say it again, this season couldn't have gone much better. Fields looks like a superstar in the making but we're still bad enough to lose enough games to likely get the 2nd overall pick. I would have thought coming into the season that Fields playing this well would have likely meant a 6-7 win record.

The future is looking better than ever with Fields to build around. We've literally never had this level playmaker at QB before.

NFL grades SoS by opponents Ws-Ls... Bears @ .570 is the toughest.

The Lions and Bears play common opponents, all except for three. These three are as follows:

Bears

1) Texans 1-12-1
2) Falcons 5-9
3) 49's 10-4

combined for 16-25-1

Lions

1) Seahawks 7-7
2) Jaguars 6-8
3) Carolina 5-9

combined 18-24

so even by that metric, your narrative is incorrect.

The simple fact is TO DATE the Bears HAVE NOT played the hardest SOS. At the end of the year this could change, but AS IT STANDS NOW, they have not.

Bears opponents have a .570 win percentage which is in fact the hardest. Lions is .542 which is 3rd as Commanders are .544.

The last 3 Bears opponents have 29 wins. Last 3 Lions opponents have 13 wins so the Bears will not be surpassed in SoS.

I'm way less confident in Flus and Poles but I am 1000% all in on Fields elevating those around him. The fact he elevated that roster today to a near victory is incredible given the total lack of talent on the field. If he had even a below average NFL supporting cast, he probably wins that game today. It gives me great confidence that even a mediocre roster surrounding him could outperform expectations. If by some miracle they actually get the pieces right around him, the sky is the limit.

Yep....if only the D could've held the Philly on that clock run out drive, I think JF would've brought us back

The bears have played the 7-7 lions. The lions have played 3-11 bears.

My response could not be more clear. You are being stupid. The NFL tracks it the way they do for a reason. Only someone with an agenda would try and go against how it is being tracked. No one gives a shit about you trying to adjust it because you are a meatball Lions fan.

The Bears have the toughest strength of schedule based on how the NFL tracks it. Everything else is just you being dense.

Yes. Some posters here don’t understand that free agency won’t be Poles basically grocery shopping @dentfan

And some of those free agents want to go to a team that is competing for a Super Bowl in 2023 and not a few years down the road

You are a complete and utter fucking idiot.

Lions opponents record (games played so far)
114-78-2
Bears opponents record (games played so far)
107-84-3

It's plain as fucking day, The Bears HAVE NOT played the hardest SOS
At the very best you can say the Bears MIGHT play the hardest SOS by the end of the season.....
But even that is speculative and still largely depends on the outcomes of the next three games.
