Aren't the rumors that Fox wants say in personnel decisions? Pace doesn't want to let that go.

That's not accurate. He said ultimately he has final say on the 53 man roster but understands the dymanics working with a head coach.

Personnel control will be what breaks this thing up.

My guess is that the deal is in place and Fox is thinking it over. This was the first time that he has met Pace and they may need time to think about the relationship.

Here is what I don't like about this report if accurate. It basically says "Fox is the Bears top choice, but they are unwilling to pay Fox enough money". I mean how else can someone interpret that?

I doubt it is money.

Control and fit will be more important than a million dollars a year.
