Imagine if Mustipher did stay.....there is a real possibility that he would look good in shorts and because of his experience, might actually win the position again. Then the light come on, and he is once again being driven right back into Justin's lap.

Going into the Season with Whitehair, Patrick or Kramer as the pool to draw from, is not great....BUT, I am glad to have a competition that does not include Mustipher.....

The fact that Sam Mustipher has started 40 games is an indictment against the Bears, not an endorsement for the player.
Well said, the OP sure hates Poles, personally I'm glad we have "the idiot" as our GM.

So far so good in my book. Not that Poles was trying to get the 1st overall pick but man that just worked out nicely. Only major miss at this point looks to be Velus, although i'm not sure how much you can consider a 3rd round pick a "major miss." I'm still wait and see on Claypool as i don't think a half season with injuries to himself and Fields on a bad, injury riddled team is enough to make a conclusion at this point.

Having a backup center/guard who has 40 games worth of starting experience and who has remained healthy and is still young is better than resetting the developmental clock with late round developmental draft picks who have no experience at all. My column.

Was it? Really?

Even if it was, I believe the Bears can somehow survive that one.

Moving on....

It's an endorsement over someone who hasn't played a down yet and won't have the knowledge of seeing different fronts and stunts in the NFL and be able to make adjustments.

It's an endorsement of health over Patrick.

Y'all are so predictable in your knee jerk reactions.
Well, I have two knees and you are a jerk. So it DOES make sense.

does anyone remember when @BearsFan51 completely sold out his identity (full of shitty takes, for posterity) to masquerade around pretending to be a journalist named @DanielCCSBears presenting even more shitty takes? Pepperidge Farm remembers, and so do I.

you were a fucking hack then, you're a fucking hack now, and you always will be a fucking hack. **** you

I may be wrong, but I heard that this guy Patrick is the back up Center and has played in Getsy system for awhile now.

Yes that is correct but he's coming off a major injury and missed all of camp last year with another significant injury. So he had two injuries that hurt him last year.

Add to it Cody Whitehair's trouble with snapping the ball leading to turnovers if injuries or turnovers derail one of them..... Yuck.
