After Kane leads the league in scoring this season, I would consider trading him. He is so small and lives so hard. He looks like he is balding. Unless he starts acting like a captain and taking care of himself, this ride will be over soon. Maradona comes to mind.

If we could fleece a team like Nashville for multiple all-star wings, young players, and draft picks it might be worth it. Not this year though, and let him build his reputation back if he can.

5 teams called us looking for a deal, a steal. No...we don't want that. But if signs the drinking is going to persist I recommend moving him before or around 30 years old.

His summer, age, or the stress...whatever. He didn't look so hot in his press conference.

I never accused you of saying he was guilty. Its your stance of lack of "benefit of the doubt" because of his past that my issue is with.
Context apparently isn't key. ItalianBeef has been bitching about Tim Graham saying he isn't surprised to hear these kind of allegations thrown at him. Well how could Graham make a statement like that? My guess is because of his past. If you have another answer for that, I'd love to hear it.

This is pretty stupid logic.

Great you and Tim Graham both believe in a stupid premise. Does it really matter that he said it first?

This whole thread makes me want to vomit. Kind of like the State Farm "Elvis" commercial, or "Flo" from Progressive.

Whats illogical about selling a high risk asset while its still high value?

Kane is amazing and a phenom, but picture him without his speed. If we hold on too long with this one it could go south. The drinking problems are a huge red flag to me.

Short players who drink will never last in this league.

I just read up on the no trade clause in his contract. he ain't going anywhere. Maybe he opens the doors to Buffalo if he wants after a couple down years, but my speculation on his longevity is pointless. I hope he can keep it up and continue to mature both on and off the ice.

I said "after he leads the league in points" because I'm hoping he can be the first American to do it in 30 years. He damn near might have last year without the injury. Sometimes things like this can get a player to turn inward on the one thing that has always been there for them, hockey.

Lets hope the next two seasons are the best yet in his career.

I used to think he did but it doesn't appear so now, then again, No one fucking knows at this point

No one ever knew outside of the ones involved then. No one knows now. No one will really know in the future.
If you thought he did it (or didn't) at the onset, I don't know what to say about you coming to that conclusion. You must be a wizard.

Savard was a smoker.
Many players are on countless painkillers.
There are many red flags and drinking excessively (if this is what Kane does--I don't know outside of a few documented cases) will probably affect Kane in his latter 40s, as it does with many people that have that vice. Unless he gets drunk and hits a utility pole on I-290.

Because I read all of the articles and comments on the twitter-sphere and social Media, unfortunately being naive enough to let the "un-biased" reporters to influence my decision at the time.

My oldest son had a really tough time growing up. He wouldn't listen and it cost him dearly. The good news is that he finally "got it" and has settled down and doing well for himself. Hopefully Kane finds someone, whether it is a good friend, a relative, a minister, girlfriend, whatever, who can give him the straight truth before he really fucks up. He should treat this as a turning point in his life and hope it turns out well for him.

Absent all the details coming out in a trial, nobody will know what happened except the people who were there. If it doesn't go to grand jury and the DNA leaks are true, which they appear to be, we will have a good idea what did not happen.

SI's legal expert says Kane's case is likely dropped. Gotta love those "experts"
