Playing World of Tanks on line. Had a 6 hour break from reality last night. I really needed and enjoyed it.

This is what I have done. Also, pre-buys will install automagically.

Last of Us Remastered; BEAUTIFUL!!!

For PS4-ers, there is also a streaming PS3 game service where you can rent games from 5 hours to 3 months through a virtual PS3. Been playing Dues Ex : Human Evolution this way with little issue (had one disconnect, but I think it was local). Not a wonderful library yet, but a few nuggets in there. No Mass Effect 2 or 3 so I am still crying like a little girl...

I am so anti- pre-order that this does nothing for me. I think I will probably re-buy Last of Us when I get my PS4.

As for PS Now service... don't blow your money on that shit yet, the prices are outrageous.

Any recommendation for PC joysticks? Or just get a cheap one? I think a joystick would make World of Tanks a lot more fun.

If you're looking for a gamepad, If you're lazy go with a Microsoft 360 PC controller--wireless or otherwise. If you're wanting to save a few buck go for something else, but remember that some games (like Watchdogs) need a program to trick the game into thinking the controller is a 360 one.

Since driving using the keyboard/mouse is horrible in Watchdogs, I used an old Saitek Wireless gamepad (PS controller layout) I had laying around. I ran into that issue. I forgot the name of the software but it was an easy find online.

I did for Deux Ex Human Evolution. I found the 1 month pricing was good for me. But yeah, it is not terribly cheap.

I went and browsed my sons collection of controllers and turns out he has a Microsoft PC gamepad. So I borrowed it. Just have to figure out how to change the the game settings to gamepad now.

I've wasted the better part of 2 nights now playing World of Tanks on line. It's a lot of fun. And free. Although there is an awful lot of of gadgets, better equipment and elite vehicles to buy. So far I'm just playing for free.

I have not found one price of a game that was cheaper than buying it off amazon. (for the longer rentals)

Yeah, the Playstation Now price structure is a joke. Those should be the prices for access to all the games they have. $5 for a day of access to Now and $20 a month for everything. Not to mention you're paying those prices to play on a Beta system!

I'm still planning on getting it for PS4. Most of the features missing are ones I don't use.

The gist I got is that 15 for the 360 will be a microevolution of 14 instead of a complete rebuild, and as such the modes I play will still be in the game. It saeems the PS4'ers and Xboners are the ones getting screwed--not us on previous gen--at least not screwed with a barbed-wire-wrapped nailbat like the next gen consoles.

I might consider 16 for a nextgen console, since the console will be nothing more than an engine to play NHL (since they dropped the PC years ago), but right now I see no reason to move away from the 360.

So from what I read of the article, the benefits of jumping to the current gen version (Some still calling it next gen) outweigh the things they had to remove? I don't know enough about the game to know what the new features/technologies their adding are but do you think it's worth it even if you don't use the things they are taking out? It feels like they are going to eventually ramp it up and get all that stuff back in but that they concentrated on making it the best game possible instead of all the bells and whistles?

I don't think online clubs are just bells and whistles. That and OTP are all I've played for years. Never played HUT or Be A GM, and not much single player Be A Pro either.

Personally, I just really play BaP/LtL a lot--not much online unless a buddy is online and wants to play a game.

I have no doubts that for subsequent releases on the PS4/Xbone that everything will be back to normal, but since this is the first version for the "current gen", it will have more flaws in it than any miniseries that is "Based on a true story".

Again, I'm just hoping for 15 on the 360 that they at least maintained everything the 360 version of 14 had at minimum, if not minor tweaks.

I don't see my WoT addiction ending any time soon. Too much fun. Maybe the start of the NHL season will temper it a bit.
