I just started dicking around in skyrim again I still have a shit load of stuff to complete, and Ive been installing a shit ton of mods.
Tales of Lycanthropy is cool as shit. werewolves were balanced to be usefull at high levels. some new werewolf powers (when in human form). and whats more awesome, you can bite your companions and turn them into werewolves. and any time you change and they are in your party they will change too. Also got a follower mod that lets you do more stuff with them, and increases the number of party members you can have. You can also turn any NPC into a werewolf by attacking them in wolf form and leaving them alive.
and the final thing that actually makes it more interesting, on the full moon you are forced to change(for the entire night until dawn). (it includes new transformation sounds and animation, so your dude is like writhing on the ground in pain). Nothing like going to return a quest to Good ol general tullius, and you hear your heart beating, and its like whoops, what time is it and is the moon full? **** me, general tullius I would skedattle if I were you, shits about to get real.
and to add the "sense of lack of control as a werewolf" you essentially have to kill and eat something as a werewolf or you will die. (purebred werewolves can get away with eating animals, Feral werewolves have to eat people) you are a purebred if you become one through companions quest line, feral if you get attacked by a werewolf and survive (werewolf encounters work like dragon encounters in this mod) and when you are a werewolf, there are werewolf hunter encounters.
I just installed a shit ton of mods though the past couple days and made a couple custom companions myself.
