4 poiints in his last 5 games, 1 point in his last 3. Typical Stalberg, 2 games looking like he deserves to be on the top line, followed by a bunch of games where he looks like he obviously shouldn't be.

whats brunette done?

Yes, but what does Brunette have to do with Stalberg. Stop deflecting!! hah

i think it comes into play. Maybe stalberg doesnt shoot into the chest as much if the other wing could keep up to the play. Maybe deflect a shot or two maybe give stalberg a passing lane or maybe even share in some of the shots. Dont get me wrong im not a member of the stalberg fan club but i am running for president of the brunette hate club. I have no chance against barak o books though..she wants to water board the guy

Yeah, but they have only played what 2 games together? And with the line juggling probably not even full games. So you can't blame anythign on either one of them relating it to the other.

I don't like either of them, but people don't harp about Brunette's potential. I would have much preferred we signed Jagr instead of Brunette. (who's with me?)

Stalberg has been putting up points, and i too actually liked the look of the Kruger Mayers Stalberg line, which means hes been productive anywhere, which is great to see.

Agreed, not really sure about the Stalberg hate lately, he's been playing better. Far from the worst player on the ice every night.

I think the issue is the amount of chances he creates, only to miss the net or shoot at the goalies chest.

At least he's creating chances, what's the difference with Frolik?

Sorry to be the guy who completely disagrees (although I understand where the logic comes from), but Stalberg has been playing good hockey as of late, and in all areas of the ice. He has been playing the body, back-checking well, getting shots (17 attempted shots against Tampa, 7 on net, 4 wide, and 4 blocked) and he creates offense on his own.

Again, sorry to rain on the shit parade, but Stalberg is not just fast, he is really freaking fast. His speed is umatched and untoucable. This is a god-given talent that can not be taught. The issues he have can be fixed, and look like they are being fixed.

There is a player on the team who shoots more pucks at goalie's chests and he wears #81.

Stalberg isn't even a fraction of the issues this team has right, ignoring their winning record. Most complaints should be directed at the PP, lack of a system from day-today, preperation for games, etc.

Bickell is worthy of critique, Brunette, and Montador (or just the defensive positioning in general), but not Stalberg, and definitely not now.

I've been with you from the day Jagr said he was interested in coming back to the NHL. I didn't like the Brunette signing at the time, and I don't like it now.

Stalberg has talent, he is still developing, but he is inconsisent. he will play on both top lines and bottom lines for the rest of the season. get used to it.

Brunette had talent. He has showed very little since camp and the first week of the season.

i like giving frolik a chance to play with toews. frolik has some real talent and is also still developing.

got to keep hossa and Kane together. They have some real good chemistry going.

Bickell has been due for an invitation to the press box for a while. He needs that every now and then to get him going.

Hopefully Brunnete is no longer with the first pp unit.

The PP units look ridiculous again. Four forwards on both of them. Two right handed shots on the point together on one, two left handed shots on the point together on the other. I expect another abortion of a night of PPs.

I didn't hate the Brunette signing I also wasn't thrilled about it. I thought he was going to be signed to play on a different line than where he has been. The Toews and Brunette deal has soured me on Brunette. That's really not fair of me to be bashing Brunette as I should be bashing our coach.

Yes Hossa and Kane have been great together. There is no doubts about that. I won't argue against them sticking together but for god sakes it doesn't mean Kane and Toews can't be great together as they often are. I guess I never had the issue that some do when Sharp centered Hossa. It's not perfect but it wasn't ineffective either. This to me is all about balancing the lines better than they have been balanced.

Agree on Bickell..he needs to sit. I am a fan but he needs a nice benching to send him a message again..which sucks that this has to be done.

Anyways I am excited to see Olesz tonight. Not that I expect him to be an offensive dynamo but I welcome some line adjustments right now.

as the saying goes, "as long as the chances are there, it'l eventually, by the odds, go in for you--keep the grip on your stick loose"

so, jebus, stfu about "OMG he shots another puck at the chest." Shot is a shot, and any shot has a chance of going into the back of the net.

im drunk

let me know when a shot aimed at the chest and hitting the chest, goes in the net.

Let me know when Stalberg successfully puts the puck THROUGH the goalie.

I expected Brunette to play 3rd line and 1st unit PP.

Overall something is terribly broken with the hawks. We brought in grit but don't play physical enough. Sure we got guys that will stand up for their teammates now but that happens once maybe twice a game. We need to up our physical game and really bring it to the opposing team. The PP strategy is ineffective, it just needs to change, we need to try something else.

I think we need to go back to lines that we know have worked in the past and yeah that means Toews and Kane, Sharp and Hossa (Unless you want to load the first line and reunite the STK line) and let these line changes stick for a couple weeks. Let some chemistry reform. The try it for 10 minutes and then shuffle them doesn't help the situation it exacerbates it. Pros or not it does take time to get the chemistry back. They need to pick a line for Stalberg and leave him there. First line isn't the answer, maybe the 2nd line or 3rd line, he's a waste on the 4th line. Brunette maybe even play him on the 4th line. Let's be real he was brought it to stand in front of the net on the PP. Let's use him for that, maybe the 4th line will wake him up too. Mayers I think deserves a look at a different line, he's not a bad player I think he could produce on a different line.

On another note I think we need to shop hammer. He's seemed to have flat lined, that or I just haven't been playing close enough attention. I havent really seen him improve but maybe that's just me not paying enough attention to his game
