Why is everyone targeting these poor souls (Stalberg & Frolik), they are what they are. Where's the bashing for StanBow, he is the one who brought them here. It's like picking on me for my good looks...bash my parents or my plastic surgeon, but don't bash me.

...I might have to re-evaluate my feelings on Stalberg. He seems to be better than last year. For now he goes into I dont hate him but I wont be sad if he leaves pile.

They are marginal top 6 players. Every team has them. Every team that wins the Cup, wins the Cup with them.

Problem is if they don't produce there are depth players in Rockford that may. There is the issue. Smith, Morin, Pirri, Beach, ect ect...

He's been playing much better, but as I said before we've seen this, give me consistency and I'll finally back off. Anyone can score on a top line of toews and sharp/hossa/kane... awe **** it I don't even know who's on what lines anymore.

this, if he is consistant he will win be over. Having a hot streak, and then 10 games where he either hits the boards, or the jersey logo on every shot, then another little hot streak won't mean shit to me.

Especially playing on the top line.

Appears Brunette was the problem with the top line. No suprise there though he's slower than John Scott.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
He's doing well there now. He's not fantabulous, but he's definitly not a liability. I hope he keeps it up.

obviously. I'm happy with Brunette on the 4th line, with PP duties. Though I still want Olesz to get a shot. he has been playing less ice time than John Scott, who hasn't even been fighting this season. (useless)

i think stalberg has reached a turning point in his development. He hasn't been so good for such a stretch ever in the NHL. If he cools off, fine, another lesson to learn in his young career, but man do i love the payoff on the trade now.

Last year at the beginning of the season he had a stretch of 8 points in 10 games. And the same thing was said.

The payoff of the trade.....we traded a player who has blinding speed (Sweatt)and Kris Versteeg who has 8 goals and 17 points so far this season.

so in other words, we traded a young Viktor Stalberg, and Kris Versteeg for Viktor Stalberg.

yes, we got more, but it doesn't look like Paradis or DeDiminico will make the roster any time soon.

Last I heard Sweatt was having problems too in Vancouver.

Forget about Versteeg, we all know those trades were not going to improve the team. The fact that we are getting a productive Stalberg is actually better than anything we traded for that summer (save the Morin argument, we can come to that when he makes the NHL)

Yea Sweatt really seemed to have the wrong attitude for a guy trying to make it. You don't demand playing time as a teenager ever, especially when that team is the defending champs who were loaded with talent.

ya, I think he just wanted to become a UFA and sign to play with his brother, since he refused to sign with Toronto as well, yet was more than happy to play for Vancouvers farm team, where his brother was playing.
