2 1st and 2 2nds

Got to hope there is a player or 2 the Texans covet. Will help Bears dump sal
There's always an excuse around every corner. The Texans won four games. Two of those wins came against the one-win Jaguars.

Watson's defense sure played fine enough to hold the Browns to ten points, too bad Watson only led his offense to score seven. Or is holding the starting quarterback accountable for that not appropriate? The Texans defense played well enough to give themselves a lead heading into the fourth quarter against the Steelers yet Watson did absolutely nothing to move the ball and they lost. Watson managed seven points against the Bears, who by that point in these season were thoroughly mediocre defensively.

Grains of sand make a mountain. I dont want anything to do with him. Its franchise suicide.

All valid points

Except we don’t have a talent at Qb like Watson.

If they had a qb like watson he would be the vice general manager.

Dude would have say in every major business transaction they do.

It's what non stupid teams with young Franchise QB's do.

Yes, and no.

The point is you get 5 years of cost control towards three players.

Obviously, if you draft in the first round like Ryan Pace, it's pointless.

But yes, if we somehow get watson(Very doubtful) this team will be in rebuild mode until he's about 30.

Still worth it, because by the time you do build this roster you'll still have 5-6 great years left in him
How are you going to build a roster around Watson while paying him AND after having given up your top draft picks to get him?

Waive your magic wand???

The bears have zero young talent outside of quan and mooney to offer.

Not sure why they would want either of them since quan is about to get paid and it would be pointless for them to get a WR when they have no QB.

I already said this team would go into a rebuild mode.

Newsflash, it's already going into one. This defense is aging. By the time we are good again Hicks, Fuller, Danny T, Eddie all probably will be cap casualties.

Watson is 25, he's still got 10 very good years left in him at the least.

This isn't a deal that would be about this season, it would be for the future.

Also, his cap hit this year is very manageable.

Its 2022 where it gets more crazy, by then you can offload a ton of defensive contracts.

Watson clearly doesn't have that type of perspective or he wouldn't be demanding an exit from Houston. He isn't going to tolerate a few five win season with the Bears as part of some broader rebuild. For that matter neither will the city of Chicago nor national media.

If that’s the case, draft a QB in the first until you find your own (better than) Watson. You use the same number of picks, maybe less, and get a real franchise Qb (Watson isn’t) on a rookie deal.
Instead of hoping and praying Watson will last that long with the way he plays. Or for that matter, would want to stay with the Bears during a 5 year rebuild...lol

Right, the Bears are depleted in young talent because they went two years with incomplete drafts. Trading for Watson is just going to recreate those conditions except they will be even harsher and for an even longer period of time.

Hub is an idiot. Js

I wouldn't call him an idiot.

You don't get one of the 50 votes for the All Pro NFL team by being an idiot.

He's undoubtedly the least football stupid of the radio personalities on 670, even if you dislike him.

Not with pace picking in the first round.

We honestly dont even know enough about Ryan Pace in the first round to make these kinds of judgment. Last time the Bears picked in the top thirty-two was 2018 and he got a pretty damn good player.

Also, today I learned Jim Miller is one of the All-Pro AP 50 Media members. Good for him.

Guy is pretty good at his gig. Always like to hear him on the radio.

Surprisingly Olin is fantastic as well. Would love to see peanut get into commentary one day. Think he would be a great personality for the radio. Maybe when he's done doing all his exciting life things.

So your logic is “Pace will waste the pick anyway, so let’s find a more exciting way to waste it”??

A waste is a waste...

It was a no brainer, but okay. Roquan was the 2nd safest pick in that draft outside of Nelson....

All of the "high potential" picks he took ended up busting in his face, and I'm a pace supporter, or at least was.

Getting a top 5 NFL QB, who is 25, is not a waste. lol wtf?

If he wants to come here you absolutely give the texans whatever the fuck they want.

This isn't about winning tomorrow, its about having a decade plus of competitive football. You can't do that without getting the qb position right.
