Next time Sharp should just raise his hand...ask the referees to please come over and ask Justin to stay on his side.

If that doesn't work, maybe Patrick can go home and ask his parents to write a letter to the NHL...saying it wasn't fair that WIlliams went on HIS side of the faceoff area.

Right after he teaches the dumb ass fan about the game and what he's apparently blind to seeing. Holy ****..

Right, as I said, there's a difference between jostling for position and what Sharp did. I like the Sharp that's out on the ice leading this team in points in the playoffs.

Funny it was called out by the announcers and he still missed it. You just can't make that shit up.

That is where I got it from. The view did not show a slash but that is what the play callers on NBCSC said. "He just whacked him there and Sharp whacked him back."

JR was able to do it for years. So is Sharp. The only difference is that Q has his head up his ass about where Sharp should be playing.

Question: what is the rule on dropping the gloves before the puck is dropped?

I thought that was a game misconduct?

Yes, on the TSN footage you showed. It didn't look that way on the NBCSC footage. Also, the TSN crew totally miss called the incident while the NBCSC team apparently miss called some of it too.

When you aren't in the stadium, you have to take the video and announcer's words are 'proof'. Either way, Williams deserved a shot for what he was doing. Fortunately Sharp got his point across, they got coincidental penalties, no one got hurt, and it was only two minute minors.

My favorite teams
 1. Portland Timbers
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
The only real problem I have about Sharp trying to fight is that (a) The last time he did Kopecky cleaned his clock and (b) he's our top scorer so far; we need him on the ice. I like his tenacity but we probably could have sent in someone to fight Williams that no one would have missed.

Like Stalberg. He was invisible for about 52 minutes of gametime.

The entire Keith/Carter event is being blown way out of proportion in the media and I think that effects the fans brain functionings as the media of most kinds over evaluate stories and talk them up to things they are not. Fans eat right into this shit.

Keith apologize to Carter a number of times after the incident. In a post game Carter accepted it and said himself Keith should not be suspended as its an incidental event (he also knows he himself wasn't clean on it all). I said it before sounds to me like the event took care of it self already between two mature vets of the game who actually do respect each other and understand the realities of competitive physical sport. The idea that the league has to be involved at all in this incident is just mind fucking blowing.

They want the players to respect each other but when players actually do show that respect and try to remedy the situations themselves the league won't get the **** out of the way and still demand full control while the media is demanding it. And yes I would feel the same way if the shoe was on the other foot. Who does this benefit? If suspended, will it keep minor events like this one from happening again? Just fucking laughable.

Yeah I'd like to have our leading scorer not take himself off the ice like that. Jostle for position all you want, I don't care.My point was, don't do something that dumb where there is no choice but to have a penalty called on you.

It's part of the game... Just like when a player in the NBA is forced to take a foul, and then has to sit out a while because they're in foul trouble. You really don't understand any of the intimacies of the game, do you?

There was no slash on sharp on that play. It was more a buildup from actions during the game.I don't know where the announcers say Williams slashed him...
