In this edition of "What Went Wrong":

<ul class="bbc">[*]Starting with the elephant in the room: Keith, there is no excuse EVER for putting the McSorely maneuver on someone--no matter how bad the infraction was missed. You were lucky that you only got a double minor out of that and you'll be lucky oif you come out of it unsuspended. way to hurt the team and show you're so worthy of wearing that "A"
[*]Speaking of wearing the "A". Sharp, it's not your job to get into fights. Remember what happened the last time you did? Kopecky beat you down like you were Reginald Denny. Hasn't the team had enough of it's leaders losing their cool on the ice?
[*]Q: Bickell was great with Toews and Hossa, and yet you go what, 2 periods with Saad back there. Okay, yes, we know that it's nice to reward a player by giving him some top-line icetime, but 40 minutes? Haven't we proven that it something isn't working you don't engage in an excercise in futility like Wile E. Coyote hoping it will work? Besdies, it's not like Bickell/Toews/Hossa hasn't been productive, after all, that line did score the lone goal.
[*]Speaking of 2 periods of mediocrity, it was nice of the team to show up after 45 minutes.
[*]Most of the line pairings that we have out there featured players that have played together for a sizable chunk of time, yet how come they were making passes like they had no clue where the other guys was going to be? Is jet-lag really a hell of a drug?
[/list]
I don't want to take anything away from LA here--they are strong at home and played a very good game, but it looked like our boys were nowhere near top form--with the possible exceptions of Leddy, Hammer, Bickell, and Crawford. However, 4 guys out of 20 showing up is not going to win the series. Get hungry for Thursday!
