Wings in 7.

Hopefully the Hawks can put up a fight.

Don't underestimate the Wings... oh wait... I said that BEFORE game 1.

At this juncture can I change my vote to wings in 5 instead of 7. The hawks have proven that no matter what Kane says Detroit is still in the hawks' heads. Detroit just has this power over chicago to rain on our parades. Unfortunately Chicago isn't putting up much of a fight. All I hope for is in the offseason the guy running the powerplay gets fired and someone who can actually run a powerplay is brought on board, be it Q or one of the assistants I don't care, our PP is our major issue.

Look at it this way other teams get PPs and it is an opportunity to score, we get one and it is 2 minutes of practically guaranteed not scoring so in that aspect a PP for the hawks is basically a PK for the hawks, no scoring opportunities.

It is asinine to have the talent we have and not at least have the 15th ranked powerplay. We should automatically be in the top half of the league if not top 10.

I think the hawks need to do something drastic for game 4. I understand we are only down in the series by one but neither game has been close. The 3-1 could be considered close but watching it, it felt like a blowout. So yeah only down in the series by one but I don't think keeping it the same is going to iron itself out.

I was one of the people saying this would be a tough series, but don't go awarding this series yet. We out-played Detroit last night and still lost. That happens...so that is why we cannot ever GIVE a game away with another lame effort like Saturday.

The only thing that really bothered me about last night was the quick no-goal call. Especially since the refs were so liberal with letting the guys play, one would think they would call it and review it. Too bad as that was about as deflating as it can get. I was happy to see that they did try to play through that, which bodes well for game 4.

Maybe Sharp can keep aiming at Howard's chest...that seems to be working well for him. WTF!!! And somebody win a fucking draw (Toews?)!!!

As bad as it seems, the Hawks are right back in it if they win Thursday. It'll then become a best of three series with two of three in Chicago. I'm not panicking quite yet.

Q seriously needs to stop toying with the lines. Go back to Saad-Toews-Hossa and Sharp-Bolland-Kane and leave em that way, or go flip those centers.

Either way, stop fucking around with the lines. Also matchups are inconsequential with these two teams. Keep over thinking shit Q and Babcock is going to prove everyone right...he's the better coach.

Hjalmarsson was the best Hawk on the ice tonight. Kane closely behind him, Crawford next, then I'd say Leddy and Stalberg after that... somewhere in there I would put Toews because he put forth the effort, but was totally fucked by the Wings with no calls. Other than those six, I wouldn't say anyone else made an impact that closely resembled a Stanley Cup contending team. Detroit was the better team tonight, now the Hawks are in a situation where game four is a must-win.

Quenneville was badly out-coached for the 2nd game in a row, but that's still no excuse for the top line not to show up again.

Really pissed me off that ONE forechecker could disrupt the Hawks breakout so much that they would turn the puck over 75% of the time in their own zone. Really pissed me off. I can only imagine how frustrated Crawford was today.

I'm going to have to strongly disagree Detroit outplayed us by a long shot.

I know the Crawfordites are going to come out of the wood works here...and this isn't a blame on him.

But he's played quite a few games in a row - which he hasn't done all year. I thought the last 2 games he's lost a bit of his rebound control - which most of the playoffs he's been good at.

Brunner game 1 ...long shot, dropped rebound right in front of him for him to bang in

Last night, goal 2 was similar...hit him in the chest and it pops a foot or 2 out. Those were getting sucked in by Howard all game on the opposite end.

Datsyuk's never should have went in. Yes, it was identical to the one Hiller gave up...but that was just as bad against him too.

Even Cleary said after the game, that goal gave them the momentum right back...that he thought the Hawks were all over them.

Yes, he made some good saves as well...but the rebound control hasn't been as sharp as it has been where on the other end, Howard isn't giving any.

I wonder if it will be Emery time on thursday? Again...not a blame...but Ray's had a very good year as well

And it's time for MVP Toews to produce a goal. Sharp's gone cold....Toews is usually the other streaky one on the Hawks that when he gets hot, he carries the team. The last 2 games, he's been under .500% on faceoffs - only time all year it's happened. I think he's been going to the net hard without the results..hopefully when he gets that first one - it takes off for him.

I think Kane's been fine. Sharp as well has been skating hard.

Seabrook....wow. He's been the only Dman that's been disappointing, IMO. Seems completely lost. I really wonder if there's some sort of injury there because it's completely uncharacteristic.

Play hard game 4, some of those post hits go in instead of out....and get right back on track. A little adversity never hurt anyone.

That was a few posts from a win IMO. While I agree with the ref that Shaw was interfering with the goalie, Blackhawks never seem to get those calls even when players are all over them in the crease. That's probably just the homer in me.

I think they had plenty of energy and attitude last night. Same effort and intensity next game I think we even the series.

Could see Q going with Razor next game.

Edit: I wrote that before going back and skimming the previous pages. Looks like all is lost, the sky is falling, Hossa sucks, Toews sucks, Sharp Sucks, Seabs sucks, Shaw sucks...

I dont love or hate the idea of starting Emery. My only thought is it isn't Crawford's fault we are losing.

I think Q will want to change the mojo. Goalie change does that IMO. Worked for the Pens in round 1

Yes, they all suck and down 2-1 is the end of the world. You can add Oduya and Q as sucking too. Probably Stan.

The warriors show up the for the first time in May when the Hawks face a bit of adversity. You can probably go back to when they lost back to back to COL/EDM..and they were pissing and moaning then as well.

I don't know where to begin... One person I would honestly say I am pissed off at is Toews, your a captain, you have been here before, he is acting like this is the first time someone is trying to get in his head. Your a CUP winner for god sakes, He is reminding me of Nucks player, sad to say. SHUT THE **** UP AND PLAY YOUR GAME! There was one shot on TV where they were showing the benches and all I can see is Babcock tapping his players on their shoulders and then Q yelling at Crawford to get back on the ice, yelling at Kitch about Crawford, like he was not suppose to come to the bench yet....IT is really sad to see a team that are suppose to be the once that are clam and cool, look frustrated and look so unorganized as the Hawks did. TO MUCH FUCKEN TIME on the PP cycling around like chickens with no heads, at one point our PP ran out and we still kept cycling the puck, it felt like 10 min of just waisting time. Why in gods green earth do we have so much talent and can't figure this out? Why is it so easy for other teams but us? I really don't know why this team thought that winning the presidents trophy would be a cake walk, you would think WIngs are out to play after losing game two. SHAME ON THIS TEAMS EFFORT! SHAME ON TOEWS! I really feel bad for Crawford. YOu go win 9 straight against these guys and when it matters they all of a sudden forgot the formula. I really don't know what to think about game 4. But I have to wait with a loss in my mind for three fucken days!

Were they yelling because they were mad or because it was loud?

at one point they were saying he was yelling cause it was loud...at the end at what I discribed, that was yelling, you could tell, Kitch had his face down and nodded....Q looked red.
