Could have not played out better for the Hawks favor at the moment, If we beat the Wild and Kings beat the Ducks, home ice to the Cup again.

How long is Cooke suspended? Hope he does not get the chance to do something stupid against the Hawks

Game 1 and 2 he'll be sitting.

I said Hawks in 5 against the Blues, and we gave the first two away in St. Louis.

Hopefully we will be able to get things rolling in our favor this series. I will be there tomorrow night, so I am hoping to add to my very good playoff record when I am in attendance.

I think the 'hawks in 6. I think we drop game 3 and game 5 in close contests. I also think one of the 4 wins is a complete blowout and we chase Bryz.

Had Cooke not taken out Barrie the Av's would have won that series, but they just aren't deep enough to make up for the loss of a top defensemen.

That being said, Suter will be playing 35 min a night (unless it goes OT, then you can double that number) I'd say he'll get tired out, but he's been doing that his whole fucking career.

Will it be Bryz? How hurt is Keumper?

a less experienced team like the avs would have played out better for the hawks... wild are going to be hungry after last year. the core there is hard working and determined, it will be a tough series no matter who is in net for them.

parise, moulson and pomminville are great snipers, but nino was the boss in game 7. Hawks win in 7, because there are too many lame shooters on the wild.

Minnesota blows...Blackhawks in five, as it looks like an easy road back to the Finals

Hawks in 6

How long is Cooke suspended? Hope he does not get the chance to do something stupid against the Hawks

Not long enough...he is back in game 4. His gutless move came in game 3... So was out 4,5,6,7 and has 3 left on what was WAY too short a suspension for a guy that does this:

It pisses me off ever time I head one of these talking heads say that he has cleaned up his act. That was no accident and it was the most gutless thing I have ever seen a hockey player do.

Was Bickell's knee on knee the most gutless act ever as well?

One has a history of doing shit like that, the other does not whatsoever. Cooke just had another knee to knee a month ago (without any kind of suspension because it's the NHL), the benefit of the doubt is well out the window with him.

Most knee on knee is the result of someone side stepping a hit and a reaction it to try to get a piece of the other guy. Mostly one wants to hit knee on knee because you can injure yourself just as much as the other guy

The hit months ago was reactionary where this one was a bit late. The pitchfork spears are much more blatant

Reactionary? Like I said,I stopped giving Cooke the benefit of the doubt long ago. He just doesn't care how reckless he plays. And when the NHL hands out suspensions like they have to him, including this last one, it won't make him change. And yeah the spears are horrible too. There was another one in the Rangers game with MacDonald hitting Carcillo between the legs after the whistle with this stick, with of course no supplemental discipline by the league afterwards. It's almost comical at this point. Those are pretty much here to stay the remainder of the playoffs because of the league's inaction (and a 5,000 dollar fine is an inaction).

Nut shots aren't hockey. It's going to be pretty sad that Q is going to end up with the harshest punishment regarding "nut play" than every other player combined throughout the entire playoffs.

It's shouldn't be, I agree. But for whatever reason it's widely "allowed" if you know what I mean. Makes no sense.

It's not garage league

And not every hit - knee on knee even - is suspension worthy, regardless of who does it

But this is what the pussification does...now everyone wants everything suspended...And has ruined the game making is lame

Well I'm getting sick of players like Cooke ruining careers. That he's even still allowed to play in the league makes the NHL a garage league.
