Dude that's just too funny. So if you don't think poor coaching affects a team, oh well, we'll disagree. Not all of us say Cutler didn't make bad decisions. So unsure your point. Trestman was a goof, unproven as a HC in the NFL and it was realized after one and a half years. Fired because of it. he lost the team, not just a player, the team.
Are you illiterate or just dumb? My point is pretty clear. You can blame Trestman for a lot of things that went wrong with this team but Jay Cutler is responsible for his own performance just like every other player is. You can't just scapegoat everything onto Trestman and act like a new coaching staff is some magic cure to all this teams problems. It's awesome we have a new GM and coaching staff but that's not going to matter much if the players don't execute at a high level and lose games.
What are the excuses going to be when Cutler's shoddy footwork and throwing mechanics that he's failed to clean up in 9+ years continue to negatively effect his accuracy this season?
What are the excuses going to be when Cutler's issues reading defenses and making quick decisions render Gase's system as ineffective as Trestman's was last season?
Are you guys just going to jump ship off the Gase bandwagon just like you did with Trestman? Probably.
I can see it now....
"Remember guys it takes 3 seasons to learn a system so you can't expect Cutler to be effective until the 2017 season"...
"Gase's system was only good because he had Manning, his system is too predictable, he calls too many tunnel screens.. blah blah blah"...
