Good call despbro... it's much smarter to ignore me since you clearly can't refute any of my arguments.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain how Trestman's nerd personality and lax coaching style is to blame for Cutler's problems reading defenses and making quick, correct decisions as highlighted in the above video link.

I dunno Broc, but probably the same exact way he lost an entire NFL locker room with over 50% of the players just quitting. You can pick out clips of every QB making bad decisions, but he does make more than most QBs.

So Broc, MAYBE TRESTMAN THROWING THE FUCKING BALL ALL THE TIME HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH OUR SHIT TEAM. You don't make a QB prone to making poor decisions THROW THE FUCKING BALL MORE.

Does anyone seriously disagree with the proposition that Cutlers is somewhere from the 13th to 19th best starting QB in the NFL right now?

I just still don't see what you guys are really disagreeing about?

He is a mediocre QB who at 32 rates not to ever be much more than that and is unfortunately for the Bears is drawing the salary of a top 5 QB.

What else really needs to be said; what possibly could be that important to talk about for months and months and months?

Thank you! Good post !

Um probably the fact that some folks here like to make Trestman the scapegoat for everything and act like Cutler is just some poor victim that bears no responsibility for his own performance and the clear regression in the offense from 2013 to 2014....

Who and how ? Trestman was a shitty head coach and made some really dumb decisions. But who is using him for a Cutler scapegoat lmao.

THere is no doubt that some fans feel that way as in those fans who refer to Cutler as the "best quarterback in the history of the Chicago Bears". People have made excuses for Cutler non-stop ever since he came over. Now, most of the excuses have gone the way of the dodo bird but some still linger. You are correct in your assessment.

Jay Cutler is the best Bears QB in recent history. Unfortunately that isn't saying a whole lot. All I know is, some of you actually need to be objective rather than emotional.

How exactly does Trestman "losing the locker room" effect Jay Cutler's ability to read a defense, make smart decisions with the football, or make accurate throws?

Unless I missed the part of last season where Trestman was performing MKULTRA experiments on Cutler to control and force him into making shit decisions and throws I'm not really seeing how "Trestman losing the locker room" is a valid excuse for Cutler's poor performance.

So Broc, MAYBE TRESTMAN THROWING THE FUCKING BALL ALL THE TIME HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH OUR SHIT TEAM. You don't make a QB prone to making poor decisions THROW THE FUCKING BALL MORE.

In 2013 the Bears rushed the ball 25 times per game, passed the ball 36 times per game and were the 2nd ranked scoring offense in the league.

In 2014 they rushed the ball 22 times per game, passed the ball 38 times per game and were the 23rd ranked scoring offense in the league.

Do you think you morons could be any more melodramatic over a difference of 3 rushes and 2 passes per game?!? Good fucking lord. You guys exaggerate and act like Trestman never ran the ball.

What do you think the big difference was between those 2 years? The 3 less called runs and 2 more called passes per game.... or the performance of the QBs?

his play wasn't horrendous his turnovers were sure but outside the turnovers cutler had a decent year

So outside of being horrendous at the most important part of his position he had a decent year.

I'm confused as to why Cutler making the same mistakes and having the same shit mechanics he did as a rookie is somehow Trestman's fault.

ND is horrible.
it's the references to Cutler being a cancer. I don't see it. I also don't like the constant hate bashing of the man. he got his money as a result of a negotiation with a team. The team messed up. Not sure how that is on Cutler. should Cutler play better, indeed. This year's salary will be more middle of the pack with the other QBs in the league. No more rewards until a conference title at least.

Not enough running on 1st down with a shitshow at Center who got blown back on virtually any play where he was left 1 on 1, a shitshow at RT who regressed, a good mauler at G who was hurt half the season and a LT that wasn't lighting the world on fire.

Look, I am not trying to take sides and have expressed how I feel about Cantler, but people thinking who should have pounded the rock A LOT more all season just weren't paying attention to how that offense was built, especially the OL.

but for the haters, there can not be any excuses. The fact there were line problems doesn't matter, Cutler should have not been bothered by getting his ass kicked weekly. he isn't a tough enough. ask them. I laugh at them for those positions, but hey, some people are just unrealistic to how the game is actually played. That it's a team game and certain positions are critical.

Nuthuggers on here are actually taking out their internal frustrations for being duped on Trestman.

You see, they know Cutler is crap. But they all bought into the "Trestman is the QB whisperer" knob job the Bears sold them.

When reality slapped them in the face (Once when McCown outplayed him and again when Cutler couldn't be fixed) they felt empty. And like little kiddies are prone to do, they lashed out. Trestman is the low hanging fruit, and where their misguided tantrum has lead them.

Don't worry. The Trestman tirade will end soon. Next year, when Cutler sucks again (still) they will be blaming Fox and Gase.

And the common denominator is Cutler. Not sure how 1 shit year with Trestman excuses the 5 other years of mediocrity from the QB position.

good. I do!!!

it's called offensive line. And dude, if you don't think they didn't have offensive line issues throughout Cutler's time here, well you had your head buried. But, I really don't care what you think. I know what I know and watched what I watched. The Oline was only good in 2013. Mills lost something and Garza was terrible. But again, you believe Garza was a pro bowl center even though he wasn't. Who was the left Tackle during all of Cutler's stay. who was the stellar left tackle?
