My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Nebraska Cornhuskers
  2. Villanova Wildcats
I hate living in an older house with poor insulation during this brutal winter.
Furnace has gone shitty for an hour or so three separate times since it went out during the deep freeze. Or whenever I was posting about it earlier - Xmas Eve maybe??

Easily fixable by me, so luckily I don't have to call the repairman. Pumping full at 66 degrees right now!!

Where are you checking the heat temp at?..Mine puts out 145 degrees at the register. 66 seems awfully low.

On the topic of the cold and indoor heating.... I put some new weather stripping on my fucked up side door and my living room is up from like 58 degrees with the Thermostat at 75 to 65 with the Thermostat at 75 lol. I have it centered around my fireplace so I am starting to actually use that in the evenings.... it certainly helps.

thermostat is set at 66. Don't like the cold, wear an extra pair of socks when you come over to my house.

aaah OK..Its set at 66.Gotcha....It sounded like the furnace was pumping out 66 degree heat..If ya check the heat at the register, it should be like 140+..

After 6PM, we turn the furnace down and just use the fireplace to heat the house.. Works great

Do you also have fire shooting out the register? If you have 145 coming out your furnace is bigger than needed.

Nope...145 at the register is normal..Check with your HVAC man..

"Your supply air temp depends upon your return air temp...It should be around 140 to 160 degrees. The extra temp you see (6 degrees) could be because after your heat shuts off you are still extracting heat from your heat exchanger.
I do have one concern, most manufactures guarantee there heat exchangers for about 7 or 10 years.Since your unit goes way beyond these specs please insure you have a carbon monoxide monitor in your home!!!!!!!!If you have not had a TECH in your home for a while to give you a tune up and check it's condition please do so.PDF"

"Air coming out of the closest register is 135-140 degrees."

"On the model number sticker in the furnace will give the temp rise of that furnace. Different types have different temps.
Normally out of the vents is about 120 to 140"

Your furnace puts out the same temp no matter what your thermostat is set at...The higher the thermostat setting, the longer the furnace runs..The temp at the register stays the same
