I just remembered one of my pet peeves when living in Chicago

The lack of respect other drivers have for your car when parked in parking lots..I was always getting door dings etc when parking at a mall. Ive been down here for about 10 years give or take, and I have yet to get 1 door ding..People here are very respectful

Someone backed in to my driver side tail light at the train station and said nothing.... left no note.... fucking pricks.

try having your car get hit, then having your RENTAL CAR get hit while parked, and the insurance finding you at fault because of no witnesses and dropping you from their policy thanks to it!

You should apologize to Flo for being such a nuisance

Traffic, corruption, out of date public transportation system, being at odds with the suburbs all the time.
HOW IS IT OUT OF DATE?

Wasn't trying to shout I accidently had the caps button on.

Ill let you know when I see the first. Ill take my lunch hour and cycle watch

Update: Never did take the lunch break but have followed it on my way out of downtown and last Thursday I couldn't believe it. I found one cyclist that actually followed the rules of the road. I was in awe as was my co-worker. I won't forget her anytime soon.

Go to D.C. or any West Coast city and you'll see a superior system. Our system also vastly ignores suburban job centers such as Oak Brook and Schaumburg. Yes..buses go there, but Pace buses have some of the worst routes ever. Other cities have quiet systems while the CTA is noisy as hell. (Its built on 150 year old infrastructure in many cases, so I'm not surprised).

When it comes to suburbs, speed patrol and other minor traffic stops seem to be about all law enforcement does 24/7.

Carol Stream, South Elgin, and Batavia come to mind immediately...though the list is much longer.

In my 10 years of residing in Florida, only state troopers did regular speed patrol. And even then, they wouldn't do a traffic stop unless it was over 14 above posted.

Up here it seems to be another form of taxation.

So what?

At least you have rail systems that go downtown and you can avoid the traffic and as for the bus, service, maybe there's not enough people who use it.

What do you expect be done?

Plus who cares if it's noisy?

lol... plenty of people who live in Chicago work in Schaumburg and Oak Brook. A public transit system to both would help alleviate traffic and give workers more options.

Bus service, there isn't enough people who use it because the system is so bad. Its a problem that feeds upon itself.

What do I expect to be done? Nothing, government has no money and no one wants to pay for anything.

And obviously you don't care.

Not seems to be. It absolutely is.

They also put up the red light cameras under the guise of “safety”. LOL.
