Keto-wise, more salt is a good thing and high blood pressure not a concern. The restriction of carbs means less water being retained and greater need for salt and electrolytes.

Not everyone is doing keto. It's not all about you man.

We'll call it 3 servings of macadamia nuts (oops, maybe a little more than that and a bit too much). These are great for keto, not that everyone is doing keto and it's certainly not all about me. I have these every day. It pisses me off that the store I usually get them from doesn't replenish the stock often enough which is why I sometimes order on Amazon. Thomas DeLauer highly touts them, saying they have the perfect balance of Omega-3 and Omega-6 and I have no cause to doubt him either. Very heavy in fat and low in net carbs but you don't want to get too carried away, especially if you count calories cause they add up real fast.

3 servings equals 81g of fat and a total of 780 calories. Running total for the day is now 2235 calories. Wonder what wife has planned for dinner.

I love snacking on macadamia nuts, but they are expensive and hard to find at times.

Exactly. The best deal I get is with the 9oz packages of the NOW brand on Amazon for $10.99. Pretty good price on the brand I usually get in Stop & Shop as well. That's the Royal Hawaiian brand they often have on sale for $5.99 for 4oz bag.

I used to grab them at Trader Joe's when I took my daughter to her training sessions cause there was one right by where she did her workouts. That's in Jersey though and too far away just to go for that. Nearest Sprouts no closer than 25 miles or so.

I think Target has an entire section dedicated towards nuts. Would be surprised if they didn't carry macadamia nuts.

When did macadamia nuts become hard to find? They have them at Jewel, if you live in the greater Chicago metropolitan area, there is one of those 20 minutes away. If you mean hard to find reasonably priced macadamia nuts, maybe that's a thing.

Story time with grandpa51.

30 years ago I worked in Elk Grove (Northrup) right next to a place called John B Sanfilippo & Son Inc. It was a giant factory with a store open to the public in front. They sold every variety of every kind of nut, in bulk, plastic bags and scoops. Not just nuts but snack food, candy, loose tea, even boxes of scrap from the factory floor as bird feed. Everything was cheap, a bunch of us would walk over there and stock up, most guys bought a ton of super cheap macadamia nuts.

So I went to look it up to see if the store/factory was still there in Elk Grove, sadly it's not, looked up if it moved to another location in the area, it did. It's now in a building I used to work in 10 years later Matsushita, in ommy land at Randall Rd. and I90, and the store still exists, no idea if it's still a good deal.

TL;DR this place may have cheap macadamia nuts. https://jbssinc.com/contact/#fishernuts Scroll down to see the store.

There's also a Fisher Nuts factory and outlet store just north of there on Randall.

6 eggs, 6 slices bacon, bulletproof coffee

I'll list calories today for those interested in those sort of things. 660 calories for the bacon and eggs. Coffee calories include 100 calories from 1oz heavy cream +fats added which amounts to 39g (11g in 1tbsp Butter+28g in 2tbsp MCT oil) and all that equals 451 calories. First meal 1,111 calories.

And trying my 2nd can of sardines. The first I tried a couple of days ago was with tomato sauce, didn't get any real taste from that sauce though. This one is with olive oil and must be a light olive oil cause not tasting that either. Sardines, themselves, are good though. Also taking tbsp of cod liver oil while I'm at it. Add 210 calories for the sardines and 135 for the cod liver oil. Puts the running total at 1455 calories.

We'll call it 3 servings of macadamia nuts (oops, maybe a little more than that and a bit too much). These are great for keto, not that everyone is doing keto and it's certainly not all about me. Tying these altogether so you can all see a day in the keto life. Just had dinner about 30 minutes ago. Chicken breast (210 cal) and 2 thighs (340 cal) for dinner. Keto peeps like to stick to the thighs and pass on the breasts cause there's a higher percentage of fat in thighs while Breasts are very high in protein and lower in fat but I like breasts. I like to dip the chicken, from the breast, in mayo (200 cal) so add 2tbsp (just eyeballing it) for the mayo. 4 cups spinach (100 cal) with about 3 tbsp butter (300 cal) 2 cup broccoli (60 cal) with about 2 tbsp butter (200 cal)and 2 (Had one earlier I didn't count yet and 1 now) zip fizz (40 cal). 1450 cal total for meal and 3685 for the day (77% fat, 19% protein, 4% carbs) and that will be all for me at least til noon tomorrow.

Ommy said Fisher is the worst brand out there. I have no reason to doubt him either.

Aldi has the macnuts too.
You would think, right? I've never seen them in the only one by us. They have a whole row of nuts as you walk in but no Macadamia nuts. You'll see them in packages of mixed nuts but I don't want other nuts tainting the macadamia nuts.

Well I'm having a pork loin chop with some curry powder (cooked it in my air fryer which is one of the best kitchen things I've bought in a long time), sauteed cabbage and some home made mushroom leek soup.
