through the wire was really the only good song. People like him because he is "different". This is pop music at its finest. Anyone who thinks, "oh he is better than all these other rappers who dont rap about shit" obviously dont listen to rap at all, and if they have sampled rap, it was probably some more POP rap on the KISS stations.

Yes he does write his own stuff. There's a reason why Rolling Stone named his first album, College Dropout, the best hip hop album of the decade (00-09).
As someone already stated MJ was a ****** too. You don't have to like someone personally to like their music...at least I don't.
Kanye doesn't make rap. He makes hip hop.
Through the wire is just one of his good songs. He has 2, almost 3 classic albums. What Yeezy makes isn't pop albums. What you're talking about is 808s and Heartbreak. If that's the only thing you listen to then you can't honestly sit here and judge him.
It's all about putting out the best product possible. Kanye hasn't released ONE bad album. 808s & Heartbreak for what it's worth is easily Kanye's best produced album although the autotune and subject matter ruined it. Graduation is my favorite album. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy will be a classic in a few years. College Dropout is a consensus classic. Late Registration is a dope album too.

lol ya it does sound a bit Special person but we're comparing personalities...
both mj and kanye are relatively popular and famous(mj is,ya, a "little" more famous, to say the least) but both are not necessarily role models...
not every popular athlete or person in general is going to be likable..because they are human..and they have flaws..some more than others
so..its important to separate your own thoughts about the person's personality and their talent or how good they are at their respective job or thing they do(although alot of the time those things are hard for us to separate..i have that problem myself quite a bit)
