'Real' rap doesn't exist. That crap shouldn't even count as 'music' period.

Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Queen blows that garbage out of the water.

now THIS,my friends, this is an example of ignorant

(tho led zeppelin, beatles, and queen are fucking awesome)

LOL what a joke of a post. I bet you hate certain type of people that wear flat brimmed New Era hats too.

Kanye West is a ****** but so are a lot of talented artists are. It's just in this 24 hour news cycle day and age it's pretty easy to tell who is a huge ****** and who isn't. Kanye is quite overrated but I do like what he does. It is kind of disappointing to me how rap has evolved back to it being more about your image and less about lyricism.

Zack, hip-hop is a personal form of expression... sports are not. That argument doesn't really hold much water.

Jordan was a ******? to me he wasnt, fierce competitor and made enemys for sure, but so what, he was on my team, so i guess you could say he was my ******. He might be a ****** in his personal life, but not enough to make me stop buying his kicks. I love Mj, so call me bias, but Kanye does make me wanna stop buying his music and I do. I certainly would never pick up a pair of Yeezy's.

Jordan as a person was one of the biggest ******'s in the league lol.. I hate to admit that. I loved Jordan, my favorite player and always will be. But as a person he was a ******. As a player? He wasn't, he was GREAT and everything you named.

Kanye as a person is one of the biggest douches in the music game lol.. I hate to admit that. I love Kanye, my favorite musical artist and always will be. But as a person he was a ******. As a musical artist? He isnt, he is real good.

See what I did there?

lol.

You don't see what I'm saying? How are you going to say someone isn't a good musician because he's a ******? Doesn't make sense. He's a ****** in his personal life, Music? No.

Depends what your definition of ****** is but at the very least Jordan was a huge asshole/dick. This is a guy who asked Joe Kleine after the 98 Finals why he was crying since he didn't do anything. He saw Stacey King with a box in the locker room and said he hopes there was a jump shot in it. Is that being a "fierce competitor"? Maybe that was a by product of his competitive nature but your still being a jackass. And these are comments he made to his teammates so you can imagine how he treated other people. Can you picture Rose ever saying that kind of stuff to John Lucas III or Rasual Butler?

Yeah I don't one has to do with the other. Just because you are a ****** bag doesn't mean your music would reflect that. He probably became a huge ****** because of the ego of his musical success. Just like how some star athletes turn out that way due to their athletic success. Metallica is a very popular band but all signs point to Lars Ulrich being a giant tool.

well, I didn't say being a ****** is why his music is bad to me. I think he's overrated... and I thought that after the bad interviews and publicity that it would all hit the fan for him. When your job is to go out and say how you feel, after you already proved that you largely don't know much about anything, you might think that peoplewould lose interest in what you have to say. But I guess I was wrong.

i disagree that it wouldnt sell. the question is, would the major labels sell it?
Majors wouldn't push it because it wouldn't sell. Lupe's "Words I Never Said" is as close to IT as it gets on a mainstream album and that single peaked at 89 on the charts.

People don't wanna hear about the politics and stuff anymore

That and it wouldn't be worth the controversy. Immortal Technique is a guy who blamed Bush for 9/11, has openly rapped about communist ideals... there is no way the major label would want that media firestorm. Unless it could sell a million. But it wouldn't.

All South Park joking aside, I personally aint a fan. However, as with many artists, I tend to find 1 or 2 songs that they made that I like, so in a sense, a fan of no one. Stronger, Good Life, Heartless, and probably others that I dont even know its him. But to each their own, not everyone likes Nickelback around here, and I found 1 or 2 from them that I liked. But why is Kanye appealling? IDK, but obviously many found more than 1 or 2 songs that they like, and if thats what they like, good for them imo.

Listen to this:

‪The Chamillionaire/Michael Jordan Story‬‏ - YouTube

Now tell me you still like Michael Jordan after this. And if you do you contradict your argument completely and your "ideals" no longer hold merit because of their inconsistencies...

I still like Michael Jordan after this, :lmao::lmao: Its definitely not Michaels job to be nice to anyone. Da ****, he cant be a jerk cuz hes Air Jordan? He was the greatest when he was playing and I asure you he never did this to a lil kid when he was a Bull or to anyone that paid to see him play. Chamillionaire, I bet MJ doesnt even know who he is. Hes retired and probably doesnt wanna be bothered, thats no excuse, but its MJ, w/e. He probably does spend all of his time smokin tall bud, playing golf, banging 20 year olds, which is what I would be doin if I was him.

No, you were a joke before this.

Music is organized sound, and discrediting something as "not music" is stupid. It's supposed to be some uber diss to it but it's not. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it shouldn't be categorized as whatever it is.

Why are you even in here if you dislike it so much?

And by admitting this you're contradicting yourself. Kanye is one of the best in his field. I bet he isn't a ****** to "lil kids" either

alright, this is the only reason im starting to agree with you and Zack. Michael Jackson, piece of shit human being, made great music. Although ill say that if he tried to put out new shit i wouldnt **** with it. but i still dont like the athlete comparison.
