Can be either store bought or a recipe that you make. A food that is your go to when you've had a rough day or just in the mood for a good unhealthy meal.

I have two. My first one is a bucket of Fried chicken from HyVee with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and then I'll usually get some Mac n Cheese too. I don't know if you guys have HyVee in Chicago, but their kitchen is awesome. It's similar to a Jewel, but much better.

My second would be homemade chicken wings. No fryer, but I'll marinate in buffalo sauce, salt, pepper and then toss them in flour and cool for an hour. Melt a stick of butter and combine with buffalo sauce. Dip the wings in the mixture and bake for 60 minutes. Continue to coat the butter/buffalo mixture about every 15 minutes.

Man, there are people I know that would think that is eating healthy, lol.

Loved those as a kid, can't handle them as an adult, too sweet.

You must know some really fat people. Just because it's chicken doesn't make it healthy lol.

Yup. I know a few people from work that are not obese but close. And they are always on some diet where they think they are eating healthy but they aren't.

To me though, I eat enough grilled chicken when I am trying to eat healthy that fried chicken doesn't even cross my mind when I want cheat meals.

I'll have to try them next time I'm in Illinois (kinda like how I always get Old Dutch Ketchup-flavored chips when I'm in Canada), but they don't have Salt & Vinegar, so they lose points off the bat :)

Chips are awful.... if I open a bag of chips I will eat 75% of it before I know what im doing.

As a general rule I don't buy chips most of the time.

I used to live on Aldi Mac n cheese in my early 20s. The only generic that I liked better than Kraft. IDK if they changed the recipe now tho

Ton's Finer Foods is very solid for generic Mac N Cheese

When I was chilling out after surgery on my finger 2 months ago, I was making my Mac N Cheese with whole milk, then eating it like a rabid animal.

So gross lol

Think that is bad?

I used to eat frosted flakes with heavy whipping cream as the milk. So good.

That is like white trash desert lol

My stepmom used to make "Oreo cereal" for my little stepbrother.

I asked what it was as she went to make it one morning and she proceeded to take like a dozen oreo cookies out of the package, break them into chunks in a cereal bowl, and then pour milk over the chunks.

He ate it like any normal bowl of cereal.

I declined as my Dad was making bacon/sausage and Swedish pancakes which is still fat, but an infinitely better meal.

And im 99% sure actual Oreo cereal existed at the time... I think they made something resembling Apple Jax or Fruit Loops, but oreo flavored.

I bet you the "Oreo cereal" was probably about as nutritious as any other sugar cereal...

Probably close.... but my Dad was making actual breakfast at the time, so it struck me as odd to stoop to crushing up oreos as cereal for breakfast lol

I could definitely eat 12 oreos at once. When they are in milk, it seems like you can eat more as well since it takes less effort to down a soggy cookie.
