Santana had his bell rung by a foul tip into his mask. After the game Acta said he lifted him because the game was already out of hand.

I'm not sure "activated" is the right word. He was added to the "taxi squad" which means that he has not yet been added to the 25 man roster.
Santana was tested after the game and there was no sign of a concussion even though he was experiencing dizziness. My guess is the move might have been made last night before knowing how Santana felt today.
Since the Tribe only has two catchers the Tribe needed to take the precaution even if Santana was going to miss a game or two. Based on the little that is known I'd be shocked if Santana was DLed. I would think if Carlin has to be added an outfielder or reliever would be demoted.

I had the tv on mute saw that foul tip and saw him come out. I was confused because it happens all the time, thought he pulled something. I guess he could be going to DL. Santana is a good catcher, hope it isnt a concussion.
