don cooper plus a winning team.

guys, if you are pissed think about a few things.

If you were told in ST that the sox would have gotten brett myers, Liriano, and youkilis by 7/28 sitting 2.5 games in first place Id think you would take it.

also again, look for floyd to be dealt for another starter.

As I said Liriano can be dominant at times. Often times he has control worse than Rich Hill. If I wanted to gamble on a guy straighten him out I would put my money on Cooper since Duncan isn't around anymore. I am just not sure if there are major things that need to be tweaked in his delivery to get his control back if Cooper can get it done in the middle of the season with him taking the ball every fifth day like they need him to. Next season though I wouldn't be shocked if we were talking about a comeback player, provided the Sox are going to pay him his final arby year.

Yeah with a package of Floyd and Humber with a spect or two dotted in there you can't rule out anyone, that would be a terrific haul for any team to get

Dews, I just think Frankie is just extremely hot and cold. Like zambrano hot and cold without the bi polar outbursts. He was never the same pitcher after Tommy Johns

Shields and Johnson still available. Would be epic.

11 starts this year with a 3.68 ERA and a hell of a k/9.

im not :fap: ing but this really does help this team.

1st thing you have to do is win the marathon, and thats just getting to the playoffs. after that you roll the dice.

He said that about Carrie Wood too.

Kaplan seems like a nice guy, who has been more than fair to the Sox in regards to giving them props, and supporting Jake Peavy for the ASG, and all that, which I really like about him. But sometimes he can be such a ****** about Cubs players and going to the Sox.

Over/under 2 starts before Lirano sucks. :troll:

Great move for the Sox. I just hope these don't bite Kenny in the ass at the end of the year.

Liriano has periods of brillance, and could be a nice addition if Cooper can work with him. Certainly has the tools to be a good pitcher with the strikeouts he is capable of racking up. Didn't give up a ton to make it happen either. Seems to be the MO this year.

This

Didn't cost us much, tho we are a bit weak in the middle infield. Is Lilibridge still out there?

I think Cooper can work with him and he'll be ours next year taking care of one of our rotation spots with the impending free agency of Peavy and Floyd.

He's kinda stunk up the joint the past couple years but he was also injured too a few years back. I dunno, I think this is a reasonable roll of the dice without hurting the future of the team. Actually probably made the future a bit better with him being on the squad next season.

I believe Mulley and Hanley discussed this on their show about three weeks ago as the surpise move that could be made by KW.
