The booze is so commonplace in the NHL I doubt it's the issue. Pills, on the other hand ... that could be a thing, if it is a thing.
Either way, doesn't it seem weird that the Hawks never seem to have Crawford involved in any sort of PR with the team? Especially considering that Kane said Crawford should've won the Playoff MVP trophy for the 2013 title run.

I know that this thread was more about getting things more goonish on the ice so they can compete better, but this is also an interesting story. I'm going to do some research on twitter/dark web blogs to see what i can dig up. Anything comes to light and I will be sure to create a thread about it.

Brandon Bolig is on the Flames, and they're up 3-2? Coincidence? Not at all.. these lowly Blackhawks were be as in a good of spot as them if they had Bolig, they could only wish.

I mean shaw is our physical scrapper now which must make teams laugh at us. I love it but someday somebody is going to actually hit him in the face with a man punch and we will realize the miracle of what he has gotten away with at 5'9 170. Bickell and shaw should do a photo shoot together in bikinis and Muia Thai glass fist wraps. Personally I was excited to see the line choices last night but they failed. Our back is now in a must win, and we haven't see. This group before but I'm gonna guess Q goes. Hossa-Toews-kane versteeg-Richards-sharp. Bickell-Vermette-Saad shaw-Kruger-carcillo. (Note, I don't know about that last pick or availability, q can do whatever, maybe desjardin earned it. And mix up D too to Keith seabs swede-oduya. Rosy-timo more limited. I swear Q is like a crazy philosopher who plays our worst lines with the idea being when we finally click all the power rangers in the right order it's like they transform into a giant invincible robot and it's like "oh yeah, we are way better than you, we just been playing before, hehe" except from a robot megaphone symbolic of Kane next to Toews that actually sounds scary.

I think uniting Toews/Kane is only going to happen in the final period of a game where the Hawks are trailing and facing elimination. We're not there yet.

Game 6 is a must win for the Preds not the Hawks. What game 6 is for the Hawks is a want to win game. The Preds are still the team with their backs to the wall for now. The must win game for the Hawks will be game 7 if it goes there. Am I the only one that can figure out basic math?

Sorry for the delayed response... it's been a long day of answering all of the fan mail/PMs I've received since my ban last Friday.
What some of the "smart Hawks fans" will tell u is that the Hawksz are a "puck possession team" and that they have the puck a majority of the game so there's no reason to "hit" or "be physical". That's great and all but it's complete bullshit. There's no reason a player like Kane or Teravainen can't follow up a missed/blocked shot by knocking someone on their ass. It's the lack of the team's mentality to play physical and INTIMIDATE the other team.
The Hawks lost to the Kings last year because they were completely terrified of Dustin Brown and Drew Doughty taking their heads off. It's the same reason they're going to lose to the Predators this year. Heck... say they luck out and win this thing in 7... sure as hell aren't getting past the "black and Blues".
Hope some of this helps... really happy to see you so into the greatest sport in the world.

Byfuglien was fat and lazy and only barely showed up in the playoffs. Are you insinuating that he's "tough" and "physical" because of his "physical appearance"?
Why not suggest getting Andrew Ladd or Brandon Bollig back instead?

Thanks Grimson. After you showed me a couple of youtube clips of what REAL hockey should look like, I'm really starting to gain interest in this sport. I never took a chance to play it because I was afraid that some freak accident from iceskating and getting blindsided might ruin my cagefighting career (my legs were my big moneymakers in HS, Undergrad) but now I regret not playing it because everyone I know that had can't get enough of it! I know guys that are almost 40 that still go out and play in beer leagues and what not. My cousin is in a deaf league and fucking loves it, and shit he just turned 35. Regret is even deeper and more ironic now that I haven't kickboxed since I was 22 due to a freak marching band incident, (at a non-contact walkthrough no less)
But alas, it's a lot of fun to watch and I'm learning a lot from you guys. Ever since IHN peeps came over, this board just seems a little more refreshing, active, with more diverse opinions and perspectives. It's like the energy I used to get from the Bearsboard has been transferred over here. SO thanks alot, and it's nice to get the feedback too!
