I have no clue whats so ever. I just want to hear what you guys think. I'm not being bias at all. I thought Posey was leading but he's slumping big time right now...thoughts?

Here are players than can win the NL ROY:
Jason Heyward
Jaime Garcia
Starlin Castro
Tyler Colvin
Buster Posey
Gaby Sanchez
Ike Davis

I think Gaby Sanchez is a rookie and if he is, I think he's leading. But, I would like a kid to win it who does not have a lot years in the minors.

Heyward should win this pretty easily.

I would rank them:

Heyward
Garcia
Posey
Sanchez
Strasburg
Castro
Davis
Colvin

Strasburg, lol. He should not even be on there. He will get 0 votes.

I see no reason not to give it to Heyward, besides the bad June he's been a superstar. He's going to be really fun to watch for quite a long time.

If the Cubs were in contention, Castro's chances would be better. I'd put him 3 or 4, with Posey and Heyward 1 and 2.

I thought Posey was winning but he's struggling badly and I dropped him big time. But, there is still a month left and lots can change in that time.

I'd go with Posey except that Heyward has been doing this since opening day. That means something, especially if the two are performing at similar levels otherwise.

Lets just say this, this is probably one of the best years for ROY canidates and I expect all to have good careers.

I don't know about that, he has looked good at times, like his first 3 starts. After that, his stats have gone up before hitting the DL then hitting the DL again. I would of like to Stras play more, then I would judge.

2.6 WAR in 68 innings, I would say he was pretty damn good. I'd throw him on my ballot.

His 2.17 xFIP, and his 2.10 FIP were the lowest for all SP in baseball with at least 60 innings. So the argument could be made he was one of, it not the, best pitchers in baseball.

I just can't put a guy on the ballot who only pitch 68 innings, 12 starts and an era of 2.91 (that's good but I think that would go up with more starts, because of arm issues). However, his K rate is a joke....that's the only positive for him. Also, the 1st DL stint does not help him and the 2nd one that put him out for the year.

So? Heyward was struggling for a long time too.

I voted Castro just to be a homer, but I don't seriously think that. Posey is leading right now.

Like I said, it's still an open race and too me, no one has taken the lead. That's all I'm going to say right now. I voted for Heyward because I think he's leading right now, but I don't think by much.

Heyward's average is too low and if you aren't going to care about batting average then you might as well vote for Colvin. Heyward is overrated.

I don't think its a month or two that matters, its the season as a whole.
