Anybody that thinks their team has a legit chance to win the super bowl with Dalton as qb and a defense that is another year older should just stop watching and commenting on football.

That's one thing we don't have on CCS is anyone that thinks we have any shot at winning or even going to a super bowl with Dalton as our QB. Nobody has even said that so not sure where you would think that anyone does.

If this defense was still 2018 level I'd say we have a shot at winning a SB with dalton considering that 2018 offensive unit was much worse talent wise than this one.

Issue is, this defense might not even be top half of the league this year. This offense at best will be average(15-20 range, and thats being very optimistic).

Having an average offense/defense gets you an average record. 7-8 wins. Worst place to be in sports is an average team.

also DB70 is a noted racist after calling me “boy” and now has made comments about my “wide asshole”. is he homophobic too??
Was gonna mention that comment by him. This certainly isn't his first time making homophobic remarks. I've been calling him out on it a lot. Its really weird how he keeps calling me a piece of shit for saying Special person but this guy is actually a bigot. Gross stuff. Major loser.

OP is seriously pathetic. Completely alone on a pro-Pace train and with zero football reasoning behind it. It's stubbornness. He's been all-in for too long to ever back down form it. At this point he's praying for a miracle to say i told you so instead of just admitting that he knows nothing about football and was wrong this entire time. Add being football stupid + being a thieving con-artist + homophobe=Worst poster on CCS? Has my vote.

We have plenty of offensive weapons and a veteran QB that's shown he can win games in this league.

ARob
Mooney
Graham
Kmet
Monty
Cohen
D.Williams

Yeah the o-line isn't gonna be one of the best in the league but we get J.Daniels back and Ifedi played well at RT to finish the year and maybe we still add in the draft or free agency to not only the o-line but at WR.

Every guy you listed here - outside of ARob - even James Daniels- is just "a guy."

Maybe Graham simply because he's a TD threat in the red zone is okay.

if he wasn’t so pathetic i would feel bad for him. prejudice isn’t something people are born with but at his age he’s responsible for looking at himself in the mirror and deciding if he’s okay with the person he is today. i know i wouldn’t be if i were him.

Okay i guess i could see that but not sure i could get there. You're right though cause we'd need the E.Jackson before he got his big contract and the 3 years younger A.Hicks and D.Trevathan and the just added K.Mack and plenty of other stuff to go right on defense. I'm not as down on Dalton as most are and think if things go right like Nagy's play calling is good and C.Kmet and D.Mooney take that next step and we run the ball more with Monty and now D.Williams and use Cohen to his best abilities and ARob is just ARob then we could definitely surprise many.

That's not too much to ask is it?

I just can’t bring myself to believe that Pace and Nagy are going to hang their jobs on Andy Dalton. I don’t know if it’s via FA or the draft or a trade. They’re finding somebody though. They gave Dalton backup money. They have to know they can’t survive without a legit QB and they have to know Andy Dalton isn‘t that guy.

Some of it probably has to do with the fact that potential trade partners don’t really have to do anything right now. I know that sucks as fans who want moves to happen. But the reality is GM’s will play the waiting game if they can. Even if Chicago had to settle for a guy like Carr. The Bears don’t have much of an incentive to over offer right now unless they desperately want Carr and are afraid somebody else will trade for him. And if you’re the Raiders theres not much of an incentive to move him right now if they’re not getting their socks blown off with an offer. Maybe another team becomes more desperate or whateve

Im also not really cool with this whole “we’ll just wait until the 3rd and take Kellen Mond“ or whoever you guys like. What’s the track record for 3rd rounders turning into legit starters? It has to be really low. I mean what is it for first rounders like 50%? And then there’s a huge drop off after that. I dont have anything against any of those guys. Maybe one of them becomes a great player. I know there’s no way anybody really knows. Otherwise the track record for third rounders wouldn’t be so low. Is it even 20%? I’m not cool on hanging the future of the QB on a 1 in 5 shot. I’m cool with Mond really. Or any of them. As long as their third string behind the guy they find to lead the team next year and backup Andy Dalton.

There is no reason to be optimistic about the Bears.

Other areas of life... go nuts and be optimistic.

Im optimistic that Pace and Nagy are both dumb enough and bad enough, that not even the McCaskeys will be able to retain them after this year.

Things already going my way
Pace (signing Dalton)
Nagy (taking back play calling duties)

Harry and Lloyd gonna get axed. If the last 37 years of watching Bears have taught me anything it’s that things can always get worse...

I've tried to find a silver lining every season. I usually find some reason to be hopeful at the start of the year. But as of now the Bears have given me nothing to be hopeful about this year.

I'm could still change my tune and am hoping the Bears make some sort of splash move in the draft.

But otherwise it seems we are just biting time and waiting until next year to where we can start another rebuild..

Dalton hasn't shown he can win games when it matters.

With Nagy calling the plays, Monty, Cjoen and Williams likely become a wash. Mooney could've just been a one year wonder, time will tell. Robinson is gonna be on a team he doesn't want to be on, on a tag he REALLY didn't want to be on. KMet kind of has to prove he's any good before we can label him a WEAPON. He sure wasn't used like one last year.
