Goose eggs on the score sheet last night. Something is up attitude or injury or maybe just a loss of confidence?

No idea, but he doesn't look as strong with puck and crisp with his passes as usual. I have a hard time believing that someone as cocky (not in a bad way) and confident as he is can lose his confidence for this long. He's gone through stretches before and snapped back. I expect him to again. Maybe he does have a nagging injury. But if that is the case, with as well as everyone else is playing, maybe you sit him for a few games to see if you can get him back to top form.

Maybe he's got something on his mind that's affecting his game. Maybe just struggling to focus.

Is everyone in his family healthy? It really does look like he has a lot on his mind and is just not very committed to the game right now. 50% of the time last night, he look like Pat Kane. Stick handling, making passes, skating to the right places to wait for a pass. But then the other 50% we saw exactly what Milbury, Jones, and whats-his-name were talking about during the second intermission. He just looks listless, or laissaz-faire, or like he would rather be somewhere else.

I at this point I'm just spitballing.

I just don't see Kane becoming disinterested for no reason nor do I see his game just going south and he lost his touch. The kid is a superstar you don't lose that talent unless you are Russian.

I don't think he's lost anything. If he gets a goal, his reaction will have a lot to say I think. He did have one 7 games or so ago, but that's the only one in the last 14. So I think it will be a big deal. He still has 7 points in his last 14, not good, but at least it's something.

Niemi robbed a sure fire goal versus the Sharks. Snake bitten, sure.

Deteriorating skills? No.

Maybe the Niemi save was an example of being snakebitten, but this slump is no snakebite, it's bad hockey. 3 goals in the last 28 games.

It's lazy, inconsiderate hockey. How many times did we see him saunter out of view and do much of nothing when he wasn't directly involved in the play? Did you all see what happened right before Hossa scored the cherry picker goal? He went for a change after the play was going the other way and coasted over to the bench like he was at a Sunday afternoon free skate with a girl.

The kid is starting to look like someone shot his dog, even when he is putting on the 'company line' face in pre and post game interviews.

He had an assist last night. And made on of the best passes of the season to toes who was robbed. Shooting wise he is fighting the puck and his hands look hard and tight to the stick. He's trying to get out of the scoring slump. Hell he tried a slap shot from the point last night. How i often do you see that from kane? Its in his head now. This is his worse career slump. Right now i bet its all mental. Toes knows is by how he has been reacting to kane..lots of back pats and talking. Wonder what our coach is saying?

I would hope that Q is saying, "just because you can't score right now, that doesn't give you license to float around the ice or dilly dally when you are making a line change." Skate hard every second of every shift, Pat, and everything will fall into place.

The funny thing is q hasn't been shy in the past demoting kane or even benching him. So if its him being lazy why isn't q going that road right now? I don't know...something is up.

There is no injury TCD, it's his head. Case closed. He'll need to find a way out of it.... who better to learn from than Toews, the king of early slumps (minus this season)

The assist went to Shaw.

I predict Kane will have a breakout multi-point game soon.

Yes. Deflected off Shaw, then Toews slammed it in.

I did brief look at the box score this morning, goose eggs for Kane, but I could be wrong, just took a quick look.

It's strange because he started so well then it just turned off.
