I remember a time when an analyst said he was lollygagging, or whatever term was used, and the analyst had no idea Kane was playing injured.

I would like to see anyone on here try to be the best at their jobs living in a fish bowl. (and yes I understand you know what your going into in professional sports, but how did any of you conduct yourselves at 21/22/23/24/25 years old? Were you the best in your field? )

Just because it works on NHL'12 doesn't mean you know what you're talking about in real life.

He'll get it together. He's a professional.

True, but understand the patience from the fans wears thin. When you're paying a guy $6.5M he better deliver. He's not a rookie anymore. I guess I believe in the tough love approach vs. coddling.

I posted is career stats, both regular and Playoff. He's done nothing but contribute. And he's only 23. Some fans are just ignorant.

Nice to see you back. Hope you have better luck defending him than I did. He gets judged way more harshly than some of the other players in my eyes.

YOU (and every other fan) aren't paying him anything. The Wirtz's are. (when the rink was empty players still got their paychecks) That's who he answers to. If you don't like the way he's playing, don't buy a ticket. There will always be someone else to buy that seat. And nobody on that team gets coddled. LOL

sorry, i'll be defending the stanley cup winning goal scorer til the day i die. he is a rediculous talent. i could give a **** if he scores 3 more in 28 games or whatever that stat is. trading him would be the stupidest thing......i cant even think of anything stupider.

Who the **** said anythign about trading him. Sweet jesus, the only people that said anything about trading him are the ones living on his jock. The only thing that has been said is that he's in a slump and we hope he snaps out of it soon, OPINIONS were floated about why but no one wants him to go anywhere, or do anything other than start producing again. Sweet jesus, overboard is sometimes an under estimation.

Ovechkin 19 goals 17 assists a -6.

They pay him 9 million a year. And he hasn't looked good all season.

Players slump even those who some claim to be the best in the league. Some have seasons that just don't live up to any expectations. What players make really has little weight and only makes us fan very fickle. I remember a league where player salaries were never disclosed. Some days I wish that were still the case. Maybe some of us could go back to watching the players play and less watching their bank accounts.

Malkin

Ovechkin

Staal

Kopitar

Nash

Iginla

Perry

Getzlaf

Ryan

Datsyuk

Parise

Heatley

Marleau

St Louis

Just to name a few players who have either gone on slumps this season or who haven't lived up to full expectations. Pretty elite list. While many of them have broken their slumps and some are just having rough seasons all around I don't think anyone would deny that they are all talented players.

Kanes slump has been a bit long. I think that's what the concern has been. But it will be broken. Just have to accept that he isn't going to have a career regular season this year. Big deal. He has more than 10 years left in the league (touch wood)

And if any of them were on this team we'd all be critical of them too. I bet if we go to their sites there are threads just like this. But probably worse because they are all douchbags.

The reaction after he scored tonight said it all.

Kids having a great game so far tonight.

Oh and Stu I forgot to add a player to that list. What was Gaborik? Zero goals in 10 games?

RK, You crack me up. You may not agree with Milbury or even dislike him. But to think that you are a better analyst than he might be, clearly shows you as delusional.

Yeah I know you did not make that statement, but you certainly showed your contempt for his opinion.

But I've watched over 10,000 hockey games!!

Milbury has likely played 10000

Coached and GM'd hundreds.

I am pretty sure he knows what he is talking about.

Grats to Kanelik for getting the monkey off his back.

I swear when he was interviewed at games end he was on the verge of tears. Sounds like he is a pretty emotional guy.

Milbury is an idiot Cho. No doubt about it.

And Cho you know man I'm just here to put a smile on your face. When I'm in Canuck land next year for a game lets make sure to grab TCD for a beer after! Hell maybe Mr. Seabrook will join us!

During those 16 games, there were times where Kane looked out of it plain and simple. About 3 games ago you could see a shift in his on ice attitude.

I think as fans of the game we have every right to make comments about a players game. I forgot, aren't they out on the ice for our entertainment? I mean shit, if there were no fans, wouldn't this just be the greatest mens league in the world?

Regardless, Kane has been looking much better the last 4 games then he did the previous 12.

B-b-b-b-but lets just compare recent memory!

Look what Turris has done in his first 16 games with Ottawa:

16 GP 4G 9A 13 PTS +13

Kane's last 16 games:

16 GP 3G 7A 10 PTS +1

Clearly he needs a change of venue! Screw his career stats!!

The center position really screws with his head. He's a RW, plain and simple. Any attempt to make him perform elsewhere is just Q playing lineup yahtzee and thinking wishfully.

I see a lot of promise with Stahlberg, Toews, Kane. I hope that Q let's this group gel because they are already producing great results. Once Shooter gets healthy he should definitely be put on the 'second' line with Hoss and Kruger.

KANE IS A SELFISH PLAYER FOR HAVING AN UNASSISTED GOAL TONIGHT

Yeah what a dick, just had to do it himself, can't help his teammates' stats or anything. Trade him for Turris
