I don't put a lot of stock into projections (except my own  ) but a lot of people think Sale is going to have a sub 3 ERA his first year. I'd love for it to happen, but seems far fetched....

I'm a believer. I just hope he doesn't let the pressure get to him. With a lack of consistency and lots of question marks surrounding this year's rotation, he may feel the need to do too much. I hope he just goes out there loose and does what he's been doing the past few years. That's all you can ask of him.

I think at some point he may be a good starter, but to be that successive in his first year seems unlikely. Not that I judge a pitcher by ERA anyway, but that's a different story.

I fully expect him to go through a fair share of cold streaks and possibly some great stretches as well. As long as he doesn't totally suck this year, I'll consider it a good first year for him. Lol

7th and 8th are strong as **** especially in the AL. Question mark: Addison Reed, and getting to those guys from offensive output may be tough.

Now if Dunn is back to his career numbers this team is entirely a different ball club. If we assume he will repeat last year, they are bad, which everyone assumes he will be. I highly doubt he repeats last year.

There is a big gap between last year and his career norms. I too doubt that he will repeat his historically bad season last year, but does Dunn barely hitting over the Mendoza line next year make that much of a difference? Of course if he returns the guy he had been the previous 8 or so seasons than this is a different team than it is right now on paper. I just don't know how likely that is at this point.

Still waiting to hear how Crain is only serviceable.

162 ERA+ last season? 9.6 K/9 ration?

Yeah, how only "serviceable", or "eh".
