For as good as Baez was to get us here man he has sure been just as terrible now that we are here. Just wow. This team just doesn't have it. I mean if HEYWARD is hitting you would have thought that would HEAVILY increase our odds. The guy has been the whipping boy all year. Now all the stars are just looking dumb and they just can't put it together.

The old adage is true. Good pitching beats good hitting. Unfortunately the hitting for the Cubs has been bad almost all post season. Outside of the Montero grand slam, I can't think of a clutch at bat.

Baez had been mostly awful all year vs rhp....hit ba and obp are terrible.....he got hot for a few games (mostly vs lhp) but hashould reverted back to 2014/15 baez....an easy out vs rhp low and away slideers and high fastballs...3;pitches usually ends it vs him
