You think things might have been different without that Special person all star rule keeping us from homefield? Like if it was just based on record and we could have started in Wrigley first. I think that would have been huge because of how electrified the whole city of Cleveland was in game one.

Cubs regained home field after game 2 anyways. And seeing how the NL all star team was mostly cubs players it's kinda a wash

Shocking! We stranded two guys!

It's like we can't even reach the freaking base until we have two outs. Then the count goes full. Then we swing on a pitch that's about 40 miles out of the zone. Infuriating.

What do you guys think is ultimately the "difference"? Is it Cleveland's pitching? Is it our approach at the plate? Is it our youth and inexperience? Is it Cleveland's aggression on the bases and at the plate? Is it Francona's management or Maddon's lack thereof? Would anyone venture to put their finger on it?

It's easy the Indians have adapted to the situation while the Cubs haven't....

All of the above accept Management. I feel they both are doing fine this is about players.

I just think to start the series there would have been big for this team. Also the fact that we have so many all stars just makes it even more irritating for me.

No..because they got a split and came home 1-1

WF was electrified for Game 3 and tonight, that hasn't helped this team...

Indians are pitching great and our hitters just going through a rough patch at the wrong time....

It just sucks, as a 40+ years die hard its going to be heartbreaking after finally getting here..
I'm not one who believes just because you have a good team one year, your guaranteed another WS opportunity the next..
Not many teams go to back to back WS
So, wish they could've won or win this one since their there..
Who knows when they'll get back..

Plus

Lose this and you can guarantee any Sox fan you know will rub this in your face and are going to be more annoying than ever..

The difference is our lineup is a hitter short (contreras/russell/baez in the 5th spot) and has seen a ton of off speed pitches which nobody has hit

When that game is managed as an exhibition/ trying to get all of the players some playtime and not over use a pitcher, didn't matter how many Cubs players were there.
