Everyone knew the OL was weak and any injuries would cause a snowball effect making the entire offense go down the shitter. Now both starting tackles have knee injuries. Caleb is going to get hurt. It’s not a question of if but when.

Poles has absolutely no idea how to find decent coaches. He's lucky Carolina is so incompetent out he would have already buried this franchise in a hole too big to crawl out of.

Do I have a choice? Will the next false profit be worth the switch?

Not happened yet with this class but what's with the 2nd QB taken usually being better than #1.

Besides the Young trade I don’t understand why anyone would be “in” on him. His trades have been bad besides two, his FA picks up are non existent and his draft record is Emery like

We went young(cheap) and malleable so sweaty mother ****** could exert influence while pretending he isn't.

So...it's been ok when including the aforementioned fleecing.

For me I am watching the learning curve closely from here. I just want to see him grow and get smarter at this. If you go young you have to live with the pains, and the bears and other shitty organizations ruin themselves by going young and cheap with someone that seems smart but then giving up before the dividend.

Yes it's annoying that we basically all knew for two years that the o-line investment was inadequate.

Guy got lucky at DE with the trades available or the same would be said about D-line and we would be uncompetitive.

I need to see some smart moves and an organizational plan to exploit compensatory draft picks system...you know the system that will give us picks and is the most important thing a GM can do, I need to see that take shape and I need to see 10 picks every spring instead of 5 or he is as stupid as every other GM we have had.

49ers/Ravens/Beliceck....

These teams are not accidentally good every year. They pick 10-12 times a year and cover mistakes.

He made 2 mistakes in hindsight.

Keeping Flus instead of resetting
Not focusing on the offensive line as a top priority

I am not calling for his head by any means, what he had when he came here was a disaster both roster, cap, and draft picks. He did a great job of pulling us out of that, the future still looks bright with the draft pick surplus as well as the cap. I will say what he does the next offseason will define the direction this franchise is heading, he needs to nail it with the coach and offensive line

The Cardinals could have not thrown a forward pass yesterday, and still won that game. I'd say his tenure has been a disaster so far, considering the fortune he has lucked into.

The Bears got lucky against TN, and the Rams were decimated by injuries when they played them. If the Bears can't beat NE next week, they will not win another game unless it's against a playoff team resting their starters.

Connor has been ballin. We aren't the only ones who couldn't bring him down, must be a contract year. And Murray is like a chaos pill that seems to give good defenses hard times and fail when you think Arizona could roll.

The problem is those are the premier positions and the foundations of the roster. They should have been ADDRESSED FIRST!

It's better to have Caleb Williams sitting back there in a clean pocket waiting for a scrub WR to get open than having him destroyed before he can hit a stud WR who was open.

It's better to have a stud OLB or DE get to the opposing QB before he can hit an open WR on a blown coverage by a bad secondary than it is to have the QB sitting back there to eventually find the open receiver on a good secondary because there was no pressure. The good QBs will do it.

Everything is backwards with this organization. It's fucking bullshit and they never learn.

Sure but if for whatever reason Poles liked players at other positions better then it doesnt help to add lesser talent. Also Williams is 19th in pressure % at 34.8% ie he is middle of the NFL. That is actually lower than Jayden Daniels at 35.6%. He is just handling it very poorly as his passing rating when pressured is 54.1 and Daniels is 94.8.

He needs to be more decisive when pressured. Take the checkdown or hot route or get out of the pocket and run oe pass. His problem is he sits in the pocket waiting for shit to open up. Waldron could also help him out more but in the end Caleb has to figure this shit out.

Poles could’ve done that this year lol

Not disagreeing with you (unless ownership held him back from doing so - Flus at year end last year looked like a man who almost lost his job at that end of year presser).

But I am also not going to ignore the good things Poles has done thus far or diminish them.

We're at the point now though where there does need to be a change at the end of the season. Said it before - no matter what excuses could be made up to this point, there is a clear direction on where this team needs to go in order to compete - new coaches, new offensive line, and one more elite pass rusher.

If at THIS point in this upcoming season, Poles sticks with Flus for 2025, or still ignores the offensive line, or gets the wrong coach to replace Flus, then Poles should be out.

Hard to win consistently when you haven't drafted any star players by Poles.

Neglected obvious issues with the oline yet again and as I've said before, they seem to view their oline as performing at peak performance and that they'll never get hurt or regress. When one guy gets hurt, it's like 'oh no, who could've possibly foreseen this?' A week ago, the backup LT was a rookie coming off a blown quad who looked like he had never played football before. It's just bad. Bargain bin shopping on the oline doesn't work but apparently, we needed another season of proof.

Do the people who think this is a decent roster just blame coaching for everything?

Sort of like the "Kindle Villdor will be coached and schemed" thing but for ~20 players.

Waldon was hired because everybody knew Neverflus was on the hot seat, Not many people wanted to tie their wagon to him. Now, the same problem will exist next year with Poles, quite possibly a lame duck GM, that if he fails to produce results in the first year, will be out the door. Not exactly the job security a top HC candidate wants.

More than likely Poles gets extended if he sticks around.
