I'm out. The signs of Flus just not being a good game manager, along with how he's reached his ceiling and cant take the bears any further--were there, and Poles didn't fire him when he should have gotten it right and paired a new QB with a new coach. Instead, its just the same, dumb old franchise.
He hasn't taken the north back. He hasn't shown that he's learned ANYTHING from the guy he replaced. The bad moves have outweighed the good ones now. Building the team with the approach of trenches-last and boxing yourself in on talent because arm length matters more than the ability to block the guy in front of him has gone about as well as everybody with 2 functioning eyes has been saying since the last time this team won a championship. Giving away draft picks, even late ones--like candy on Halloween for OL from other teams and then never playing them. Bad trades for WRs. Making WRs the "strength" of the team and then running an offense that wont showcase any of them. His priorities have been questionable at best. You take a QB #1 overall and make WR3 more important than fixing your bottom 10 OL that's bottom 3 in the league right now. Hiring an OC whomst--not even HALFWAY into his first season--the embattled head coach says he's still allowed playcalling duties.
Even fleecing Carolina can't negate the ever-growing pile of mistakes he's made. And if this lockerroom is truly lost--then I don't want Poles to pick the next coach, as I flat out don't trust him to do anything different. He picked a mope, and when he had the chance to bail and get better, he hitched his wagon to said mope. But when a mope owner is driving the bus...I can't be surprised. Nothing changes, which is why I'll be wrong and Poles wont be fired when he should.
