In the mod forum planning your ban
RTB negs with a positive dislike if that makes sense. I do expect more football discussion when the real season starts as I too have noticed the pictures and random talks. It doesnt bother me but I much rather talk about the bears

Football threads get derailed by post 5 or so. That's what he's talkng about, but hey maybe this what you enjoy?! Myself and the OP(and others I'm sure), not so much.

Don't know where you got this idea that I enjoy derailed football threads. Never said or implied that.

I agree with the OP. Mods should ban/lock/delete any discussion that is off-topic from football. **** the community. The community should be based around football talk. Create a separate forum if you want off-topic discussions.

Seems like a small clique has dominated this forum and gets to do whatever they want, meanwhile new posters looking for football discussions have to wade through 5+ pages of inane drivel and inside jokes to get to any football talk.

I didn't say you did, but that is what is happening in the majority of times and what I believe the OP is talking about.

I've noticed threads generally get derailed when the discussion has run its course and the talk becomes circular.

If you start a "Cutler isn't elite" thread, then yes, it will probably go to shit by post 5, because the subject has been beaten to death.

A thread that is more original (and meaningful) will generally go pages on topic. And then get derailed ☺

Case in point. ^^^

Is it hard to have a football only forum? It should be easy to lay the law down by any mods. Ban anyone who posts crap temporarily as a warning, and three strikes and your out. Usually, it's the mods that are the problem. It's like the popular kids in high school. No one wants to stand up to them. You know the type. The ones that grow up to be losers, trying to hang on to the good old days.

There is a separate forum for off-topic discussions. wtf? That's where we all agree that the Redskins are a football team.

I totally agree with you but the mods around here are GARBAGE. they have this 'anything goes' philosophy, this is how they want the forum to look. They'd rather it be too loose rather than too strict. Many of us prefer it the other way, obviously.

I'd like this forum to be like RealGM personally.

If you don't like the way the mods operate, then fucking leave already. Sitting her bitching on a message board about a non football related thread, wait for it in a non football related thread. God Damn internet is serious business.

I always try to start a good football related post for some good back and forth football talk. I try to make it something that generally isnt being talked about like my Michael Spurlock post today.. which has 4 replies vs this post about bitching about the board that currently has well over 50 replys.

I don't think writing 'lol' after telling someone to go **** themselves isn't funny. You should rethink this untactful approach to posting on a message board, plus can you stay on the topic at hand. Deraiiling this thread could lead to some Special person posting gifs in it ...
