My Top 5 (I'm including series)
Yoshi Story
Super Smash Bros
Assassin's Creed series (AC 3 was the best IMO)
Star Wars: Battlefront
Rachet & Clank
N64 and PS2 were the best

MOHAA and Backyard baseball were my favorite computer games growing up

Another MOHAA geek? Did any of you guys play MOHAA competitively.... clans, scrims, league matches, etc?

I guess I'll add Assassins Creed to my honorable mention list. Before ACIII it would have been in my top three, but ACIII left such a bad taste in my mouth it bumped it way down. Connor was such a terrible character and the campaign was just not good. I still haven't played ACIV because of ACIII, though I hear it's way better.

I thoroughly enjoyed AC3..... though Connor was nothing to write home about as a character, I agree.

I thought AC3 did a good job of transitioning the series in to a more modern setting and it gave you a different flavor with some gameplay out on the Frontier and on the Seas where as the majority of the previous games kept you running around cities mostly.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag was even better.... again they moved to some different settings and added some new mechanics to the game that made it a little different but still fun.

You do command a pirate ship though, so if you disliked the AC3 parts where you had to command a ship you might hate Black Flag since you have to command the ship a good chunk of the time. I found it enjoyable but I could see it pissing some people off.

Dead Space has been awesome. I was worried it wouldn't hold up, but its fine. Graphics are passable enough that they don't hurt immersion and the game is all atmosphere, which doesn't age, as long as you are immersed. I can only play an our or so at a time cause I can't take much more adrenaline than that in one sitting. Reminds me a lot of resident evil 2 back when that first came out.

I forgot about Red Dead Redemption. I would have to include that on my list, too. The graphics were incredible in that game and sometimes I would just be riding around and enjoying the scenery.

Yep I've been playing dead space 3 for the first time and it's pretty good, the 2nd one is the best imo.

Also, holy shit, how could I forget:

Wing Commander 3!!!

Wing%20Commander%20III%20-%20Heart%20of%20the%20Tiger%20%5BDisc1of4%5D%20%5BU%5D%20%5BSLUS-00019%5D-front.jpg

Wing Commander series was amazing, best played on PC though where you could use a proper flight stick. I kickstartered Star Citizen, super, super excited for that.

I also have to say my honorable mention has to be Civilization. I have played that game to death. In fact, when I first got Civ III I skipped school two days straight to play it.

Great series, V is really good. No more stacks of doom and hexes were really nice tweaks, and new Alpha Centuri coming, woo!

Most of the games on my list were more modern but I will say Star Fox on N64 was up there for me, though going back that far now, the games are not as fun as the memory in most cases.

I can't narrow it down to just 5 without being completely biased towards the newer games simply because they are the freshest in my mind. So I just listed the games I remember playing the most for each system I own. I probably have between 20 and 40 games for each system. Except for the SNES where I only have like 5 games. I'm sure a forgot a few as well.

Atari
Donkey Kong Jr.
Hero

NES
Maniac Mansion
Mike Tyson's Punch-out
Castlevania II
Double Dragon II
Super Mario Bros 2 and 3
Contra
Dusty Diamonds All-star softball
Baseball Simulator 2000

SNES

Super Mario Bros
Mario Kart

PS1
Sub-Zero Mythologies
NFL Blitz 2000
Burnout
NBA Street

PS1 - PS3
Medal of Honor (The first 3 or 4 only. After that I kinda lost interest in them)
Twisted Metal series
Kingdom Hearts series
GTA series
Red Dead Redemption (original and undead nighmare)
MLB The Show

I spent many a night playing Goldeneye with friends.... sadly it is another game that is not fun compared to contemporary FPS shooters but at the time it was so much fun.

There was another one for N64 which was FPS like Goldeneye and you could do multiplayer but it also allowed you to add bots in to the mix in the multiplayer and for the life of me I cannot remember what it was called but it was fun.... I think it had Dark in the name, thats all that is coming to mind for me. Anyone remember what it might be?

Final Fantasy 12 was one of my favorites that I never finished. I had the collectors edition when I upgraded to PS3 and was under the assumption I would be able to play it still since I had the version that was supposed to be backwards compatible. I still have the game. I may just buy a PS2 to finish it and get some cheap old games to play.

Bleh I have so many games Ive played through at least half way and not finished.... LA Noire.... Dragons Age Origins.... Halo 4..... games I really like for a modern console lol and still I struggle to go back and finish them out.... I think with my limited gaming time as an adult combined with how quickly new games are coming out, I just get caught up with new stuff and never finish old stuff. **** it Monk, im taking all my PTO in a row and finishing dis shit.

Goldeneye is the only FPS I have thoroughly enjoyed playing. Good memories there.

I downloaded FF8 on PS3 because that was another game I didn't finish due to upgraded system. I still haven't finished it. We only have one TV in the house so if I want to play anything I have two women looking at me like "don't you need to be building a tree house or something"
