The thing I don't like is, this is supposed to be a fan site. Right? Last I checked, this wasn't an ESPN wannabe analyst site.

Since when is it a bad thing to be a fan?

Why are people ridiculed for wearing Bulls colored glasses, ON A BULLS FAN SITE!!!!!????

If people want to use logic, why talk to fans (which is short for fanatic btw)? You'll get nowhere.

If people didn't make outrageous claims on here, there would be no reason to respond to them.

Saying stuff like Pippen>Jordan is sacrilegious as a Bulls' fan. I certainly never said that... SP94 did. Just like 97Bulls said Jordan wasn't a winner for the sake of hyping up Pippen.

It is one thing to be like, 'I love the Bulls; they are my favorite team and I love Pippen. He helped the team so much and was my favorite player.'

It's another thing to say things like 'Pippen got robbed of the MVP award in 1994' and that he was the best player in the NBA. And then when people give a logical rebuttal and say whoa there man... hold your horses... have a bunch of nonsense directed at you as a response.

I happen to believe that being a Bulls fan and being objective at the same time about the league as a whole is a possibility. What muddies the conversation is when people show up in a thread with ulterior motives, NOT to give an opinion but to take potshots at someone they have a gripe with. There is one guy who does that constantly. He trolls around and takes cheapshots because he has nothing worth while to say.

And being objective has nothing to do with being an espn analyst, it is about maturity, some people need to grow up and face reality for crying out loud.

I honestly think grant and armsrtong were centamental all-star picks.
horace averaged 15 and 11 in 93-94...maybe BJ shouldnt have made it but regardless those two are probably better than anything olajuwon had save thorpe who was declining..oh and btw its sentimental

Career-wise, I believe thorpe was better.
i dont care about career wise...i care about 93-94 since that is the year in question
Kukoc was good but he had to adjust to the nba game, and like I stated earlier, he couldn't even communicate with his team. There was no chemisrty other than he knew how to play basketball.
ok...but even with supposed lack of communication he was a double digit scorer

Armsrtong and maxwell were similar, but the rest of the core players really land in the rockets favor. Elie, horry, cassel, smith and herrea, are better than longley, williams, myers, king, and kerr.

Maxwell was very inefficient with ball imo....and you forget that some of those bulls players pippen has been playing with for a while(similar argument can be made about the rockets and olajuwon although some of those guys are alot younger than others)

even if the bulls team wasnt better(which i think it was overall)

i still think olajuwon's impact on the team is irrefutable....58 wins and a title basically as the man without a really solid second or third option imo

his defense was amazing but his offense(27 PPG) was damn good in the post too..with his ability to go inside and stretch the defense out 10-15 feet

again i dont think pippen was the best player or the "most valuable" that year

and btw rami---he's trolling you...you're only feeding him

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
For the record, while I do think that Pippen could very well have earned the MVP in 94 and no one really would've been totally shocked (maybe a few), saying that Olajuwon stole the MVP from Pippen isn't really an accurate statement. Look what he had around him. You can even look at stats. Hakeem beats Scottie offensively by a wide margin imo, and defensively had about as much of an impact as you could have as a center. There's a reason Houston won two straight titles and it's not because of Hou Hollins if you know what I mean...

You do have a choice you know? The ignore function works.

Saying stuff like Pippen>Jordan is sacrilegious as a Bulls' fan. I certainly never said that. SP94 did. Just like 97 Bulls said Jordan wasn't a winner for the sake of hyping up Pippen.
Well, those claims are ridiculous, I'd never say that either.

It is one thing to be like, 'I love the Bulls; they are my favorite team and I love Pippen. He helped the team so much and was my favorite player.'
He did.

It's another thing to say things like 'Pippen got robbed of the MVP award in 1994' and that he was the best player in the NBA. And then when people give a logical rebuttal and say whoa there man, hold your horses, have a bunch of nonsense directed at you as a response.
IMO I feel he was robbed of MVP by my definition of MVP. I saw him night in and night out that season and for what they accomplished in the regular season, given the circumstances he was put under (Jordan's abrupt "retirement", new teammates, etc.), for them to have only two more losses from from their previous title season, without their best player and him leading the team in 5+ categories definitely earned him the MVP in my book.

Now I'm not saying he was a better player than Hakeem. Hakeem was a monster that year, no doubt. If I had a vote, I'd give it to Pippen for those reasons I stated.

You can't fault fans for their opinions. Not everyone looks at things from an ESPN analyst point of view. Some people are fans and love their team.

If you want to be logical, don't complain about the frustrations when dealing with fans, on a fan site.

Just saying.

Well, that Hue Hollins call had a huge impact, being that it was a bullshit call.

I think the Bulls would've beat Indy and gave a better showing in the Finals than NY did.

Id like to reiterate that when I said jordan wasn't a winner, I said it in the context that he didn't win before the bulls brought in more talent. I already backed of of the original statement but rami is determined to lie.

Its no different than when rami said that jerry stackhouse was as good a scorer as jordan.

Yes I know, but the point is that Houston would've won anyway.

Typing the words flat out saying Jordan wasn't a winner until Pippen got there is straight up false and sacrilegious to utter as a Bulls fan. The guy made damn sure Pippen was a winner, too.

And I mis-typed. I meant to say that Stackhouse was just as dominant of a scorer as Pippen. Not Jordan.

I'm a UNC guy, but Jerry Stackhouse was vastly overrated.

I really don't think so.

I am pretty sure Houston would have killed the Bulls. Honestly, the Bulls were lucky that the Knicks didn't make short work of them in that series. The reason most Bulls' fans took so much pride in that '94 team is because of how much they overachieved that season.

Instead, people want to look at it through tinted glasses and use the phantom foul call as justification that the Bulls were screwed out of a title that year. They probably win the series if it wasn't for that call. But the point was that the Knicks had no business letting it get to 7 games.

He was a one-dimensional scorer but that's all I was really saying. When it comes to straight up scoring, I'm taking Stackhouse over Pippen everytime when I need a big basket.

Stackhouse was a better scorer than Pippen. He wasn't as good a player, but a better scorer.

By the way, when someone's argument for saying Pippen is MVP is "I watched every game he played that year...", throw that argument out of the window.

You watched Pippen play but you didn't watch the rest of the league. So the best you can do is call Pippen team MVP. Watch Hakeem, Robinson, Ewing, Kemp...the league before making accusations that Pippen was robbed. That is just silly to me...

Under the criteria used today; pippen would've won the mvp. I even think had pippen not missed 10 games in 94, the bulls definately end up with the best record. And then he's a lock.

I still don't think Pippen was a runaway with the MVP that season. I think he was definitely deserving of it and that most people wouldn't have thought twice about it if he had won it, but it wasn't a sure thing.

The Bulls were better than the Knicks, and had it not been for that bullshit call at the buzzer with the Bulls leading, they definitely would've won the series since it was the last play in Game 7.

For the blowhard trying to dismiss my being in the barn on Madison, don't be mad, UPS is hiring.

Also, I never said Pippen was a runaway MVP. I just said given the circumstances on that season, he definitely had a case for it. Hakeem winning is no big deal. He deserved it also.

I don't watch teams I'm not a fan of. I don't care about what other teams do, unless it directly affects the Bulls' standings. I also don't care about hearing other people's opinion about the team. Some broadcasters are even more biased than Stacey and Neil so what they have to say about the Bulls means nothing to me.
