My favorite teams
Just because they may have invented the term Point-Forward for Scottie doesn't mean nobody can surpass what he did.
Not at all. I was just going off the top of my head. I had originally said "and there's a steal by bird!", but that wasn't in the Finals.Rose was certainly expected to win a title this year. How did that turn out for him?
In RE: Kobe. I notice that you don't put Larry Bird in your list of examples....does that mean Larry Bird doesn't have a 'defining' moment?
I think if there a Portland message board, everybody would be calling it showboating. Again, it's semantics, but after hitting the sixth three pointer, the 'Gee, look what I what I did - golly' shrug and look on his face can be construed as showboating.
Are you from the hue school of douchebaggery?Woe is you.
I don't get it though, if Scottie himself has said Lebron > Michael, doesn't it stand to reason he also thinks Lebron > Scottie
Yet lebron got all the credit.Rose did get shut down in the final minutes but it wasn't by only LeBron. It was by the whole Heat defense.
I said the drivel you quoted from houI didn't compare Shaq to Lebron, so I don't know why you bring it up in response to me.
Yet lebron got all the credit.
And Scottie is wrong. This isn't a lebron/Jordan comparison, so don't even get owned like that.I don't get it though, if Scottie himself has said Lebron > Michael, doesn't it stand to reason he also thinks Lebron > Scottie
This.It is showboating but I don't think it's the classless kind that comes from just being up big and dancing around like an asshole on the sidelines.
I'm not. And believe it or not, I welcome your opinions. Much like I do other peoples. What I can't stand, is that in giving your opinion, you don't back it up with anything. Instead, we get things like, 'scoring is overrated,' or 'him sitting out is the reason he dunked over Ewing - he came back with the fire and the passion.'Are you from the hue school of douchebaggery?
I don't think he is. He's good, but the other superlatives are earned in the Finals. It doesn't change that he's a spectacular player.
:crazydance:I believe that's what they call the transitive property in geometry.
LeBron guarded Rose at the end of the 4th quarter, how is that shutting him down? People are acting like Rose still didn't get to the basket and hit layups because he did. He missed a jump shot in which LeBron just stood there and didn't even put his hand up and that's a shutdown. lol. LeBron just funneled Rose to his help well when he did guard him, which wasn't often. If he guarded him the whole game and Rose didn't score well, than I would agree with him "shutting him down", but since he didn't, I don't see it as a shut down at all. But again that's just me.
But what does a Shaq comparison have to do with me?I said the drivel you quoted from hou
I base my opinions on what I saw. Stats don't tell the whole story.I'm not. And believe it or not, I welcome your opinions. Much like I do other peoples. If you want to have an opinion on something, at least bring it back with something. I posted stats that showed Lebron, having played in half the games Scottie has, has a better Player Efficiency Rating and a higher win share. Not to mention has averaged in his shorter career more in terms of points, rebounds, and assists.
I base my opinions on that stuff. You seem to be basing it off the fact you worked at the United Center in 1994, and not wanting to listen to hype generated by a television network you don't have to watch.
Rose shot 6% from the field when guarded by Lebron....
But to be fair, he never meant LeBron > Jordan. He meant that he COULD be better if he cared anywhere near as much as Jordan did.
This is the quote. I guess he backtracked, but I didn't see that.Scottie Pippen said:“Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play the game. I may go so far as saying LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game.”
