Look who he's playing with. For most of the year, he was saddled with Frolik and Bickell... two guys you want gone. How's a guy going to produce when his linemates are complete duds?

I'm with you on Frolik. Guy pisses me off.

While I don't totally disagree with your point, Bollie had played quite a bit with Hoss and Sharp and he looked out of place.

He's been playing on one wheel for a while now, though.

I'm not overly alarmed, to be honest.

subtract bolland and this team is a lot worse.

Yep. Just look at when he was out with a concussion last year. Team got worse and when he came back in the playoffs you could tell the team was a lot different. He's like Hossa. Might not get a ton of points, but you can see that he's doing the right things and making good plays.

Points, points, points. :hitler:

It's not all about points. Bolland-less Hawks aren't as good. He's a great checking line center.

I'm not concerned with Bolland either. He played a pretty good game against the Sharks most recently.

I'd like to see more out of his usual linemates.

Bolland is fine, the only worry I have ever had with Bolland is if he will be healthy enough

I understand that, but there are too many guys on this team that you guys state "its not about the points" look, bolland is an exception, his role is defined, and he plays it well. If we are discussing points with him, its pretty dumb. bolland is the type of player where you dont have to sit there and look at his box score, but as of late there are just too many hawk players that we argue "points arent everything". when you add so many of those up, you have a reason to be concerned, atleast i do.

This claim that we have had a "Lack" of secondary scoring out of everyone not named Toews, kane, Sharp, or Hossa had me thinking

we have 43 goals scored by the rest of the team, and 53 scored by those 4

so, we average 1.43 goals per game by the rest of the team and 1.76 scored by the big 4

while there is a discrepancy there, thats why these guys get paid the big bucks, to score goals and carry the team...almost 1.5 goals a game from the "others" isnt bad at all

Disclaimer: I'm not saying we dont need more secondary scoring if possible, im just saying it isnt as bad as advertised by some people

btw, Brunette is 5th on the team with 7 goals....fossil :troll:

the depth is the issue. if one or more of those guys gets hurt the team is in a lot of trouble, some of the points that the other guys have are the product of the big time players on this team. hossa is amazing, but say he gets hurt which isnt a crazy thought...we need more secondary scoring.

I would agree with you except, all 4 of those guys are in the top 6 and kruger and stalberg being the other 2

it's not like our big 4 are split up and helping everybody

but i do agree that we might have more trouble scoring if one of the big 4 go down

Chris kuc is reporting the hawks will call up Jeremy Morin for the Calgary game

Saw that. Very interesting. I guess they thought Smith wasn't living up to expectations and decided to try someone else.
