Since Stan is collecting fossils, I would love to see this one added to the collection

I still don't understand how McCabe doesn't have a job. There had to have been teams that have shown interest by now...my guess is that McCabe is the reason why he isn't playing. Maybe he is being particular about what team (always preferred east coast), salary, or is just done and not telling anyone.

Walker On Re-Entry Waivers, McCabe Mum On Intentions

It sounds like he and his family are settled in New York.

Khabi was pretty bad in his first three years with the Blackhawks - some of that did have to do with the team though. The second Huet showed up, Khabi starting playing well and definitely earned himself to be the go to goalie with his play that year.

As for Niemi, he came in, stole the show, and then earned himself the majority of the starts and obviously the playoff starts.

It all worked out in the end though, but it just amazes me how Huet played so well for 3 - 4 years and then came to the Blackhawks and just faltered.

Oh definitely. Khabi was much better when Huet showed up and starting getting some starts. Had motivation, plus, the team was a little better.

Agree about Niemi stealing the show, but I thought he was pretty lucky in the playoffs.

What is the point of Lepisto? Hasn't played since Nov 18th.

Playing 200 yr old SOD & Scott more than him is a disgrace.

Either play the guy or trade him.

If you trade him, who is going to be the Bhawks #7 guy?

He isn't killing their cap, so who cares.

It's not like LePisto's a prospect that can do much Joe, so it isn't a disgrace to the sport to play an older player instead. If we were rebuilding, then you go younger, but right now we're competing for the top spot in the West.

But if O'Donnell is 200 years old that means he is more likely to get injured and that's why we need Lepisto. Silly.

Sami Lepisto
has spent 12 of Chicago's last 14 games in the press box. "I just try to work hard in practice," Lepisto said. "Of course it's frustrating to sit out that long (but) what can you do? I have to battle through it." Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville praised his attitude and work ethic in practices, so he might get another opportunity soon. He inked a one-year/$750,000 contract in the off-season. (Source: Chicago Tribune)

While Jonathan Toews had a rare (for him, of late) night off the scoresheet, Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa filled it up. That was good enough for their fourth sraight road win, but moving forward, this team needs to have more than just their deadly top two lines delivering offensively.

Yeah, it would be nice to see the 3rd line kick in some goals soon. As long as Smith keeps playing around the net, he should be able to get a few, but I worry about Bolland and it's really not his fault...

because the big disappointment is Frolik. He's shown almost no offensive ability. He's not even holding the puck or even getting his crummy shots like he was earlier this year. He's constantly fighting along the boards (fine), but nothing is coming from it. That line is in desperate need of someone that can make a play.

Smith can bang the net and Bolland can shoot... but with nobody to really carry the mail, they're all floundering. I'd dump Stalberg on the wing and let Frolik sit on the 4th line.

Emery has been great lately and played extremely well against the Islanders making a lot of great saves.

As for the secondary scoring, Ben Smith could be the answer just because he just seems to have a way of always being in the right place to score.

The Bickell-Bolland-Frolik was fantastic for the first week of the season, if it could get back to that level with Smith instead of Bickell that would be awesome.
