Brunette fan club super quiet. That -10 speaks volumes.

While Brouwer will finish with more points than him. What a bum.

Who mentioned Brunette?

Not only that, his +/- doesn't show how well he's been playing on the power play.

Jonathan Toews. What a bum

Patrick Kane
is searching for answers as to why he has generated just 10 goals in 44 games this season. "You're trying a lot of different things," Kane said prior to Chicago's 5-2 win Thursday against Minnesota. "I've talked to some different people to see what they think and I've definitely gotten into the video thing lately. I've watched a lot of different games of myself where I've had chances to see what I can do better. I watched the last game with my dad and we had some good ideas." Kane has found the back of the net just four times in his past 26 games and is currently on pace for a career-low of 18 markers. However, he has still been productive with 38 points and 139 shots, so he's confident that he can turn his fortunes around in the second half. (Source: Chicago Tribune)

Yeh that Brunette plays on the power play -- good thing too, as those 5 full strength goals and whatever assists - would have been positively Ben Eager like if he hadn't.

But, to restate the +/- stat; when a PP goal is scored and you are on the ice - you don't get a '+' -so technically it isn't nearly as bad as made out to be.

Otoh ... it still is Andrew Brunette -so, who cares? ( It is a 4th liner that produces on the powerplay ... not too bad... could do a lot worse ... the guy wasn't brought in at the expense of anyone else).

And that seems to be the key thing .... the Hawks didn't get rid of Brouwer (or anyone else) to bring in Brunette.... they still had the cap room to have signed Brouwer -but didn't.

Cutting to the chase - your issue (as has been said many many times before), with regards to Brouwer or any personnel movement/non-movement, is with Bowman.

Who knows, but you ought to take credit for that much, as you might be right. However, in the absence of such... you can't very well take credit for pointing out a GM's stuff ups.

.. so logically, if Brouwer were on the Red Wings, that would be a replacement for Viagra?

To actually use this thread for what it's for and not just trashing Joe, even though its fun.

I'm giving praise to Shaw. He already has more goals than Carcillo this year. Been getting some timely goals whether they're pretty or not.

I think shaw is playing the game we all hoped Carcillo would play...

edgy, tough, but can contribute on the scoring sheet once in awhile

That's what I was thinking. Carcillo was almost that type of player when he was playing with Kane and Hossa. I like what Shaw has done so far. Already has more goals than Carcillo.

Let's hope it continues
