If Senators are down Karlsson, wouldn't they want a defenseman with some offensive skills? I don't think the Hawks have any available right now. Don't see Leddy getting moved, Keith is probably out of the question, and that's about it for the Hawks blue line, in terms of offensive talent. Rest are prospects.

I think the thought process is that the Senators will fall out of the playoff race and therefore will be looking to sell pieces for prospects or picks.

Well here it is, should the Hawks make a move?

Mckenzie says perry won't resign in ANA

As much as I like Perry, i'd rather have Getzlaf.

That way the Hawks can stop pretending Davey Boy is a #2 center.

I'd prefer Getz, but I think there are a few guys i'd move for Perry

This. Not saying that Kruger is ready to play as the second line center, but at least he is winning some draws.

Technically they aren't pretending Bolland is the 2nd line center if they keep trying to pretend that they don't have numbered lines

I don't disagree with that at all. I think Kruger MIGHT be able to grow into that role, but I think that he is more of a third line guy. I would not be shocked if Bolland is moved before the trade deadline, and definitely wouldn't be shocked if he isn't in a Hawk come next season.

you make good points. im kinda curious to see how much tinkering bowman does at the lineup with our everyday guys. i can see bolland gone in the offseason for sure but this season im not sure.

Davey Boy has to prove to actually stay healthy, which is something he has a hard time doing.

Agreed. I don't see any reason to move Bolland right now because Kruger still hasn't proven to be worth much in the postseason. If he changes that in the next few months, then Bolland could very well end up on the block.

I like Bolly, but if it were to come down to keeping him next year, or getting rid of his cap hit in order to keep some of our other pieces I think he would be the one to go. If he can stay healthy, I am sure that the Hawks can get something for him. I know Dews and Joe will go nuts, but I would much rather keep Stalberg over Bolland next year. Just my opinion tho. I think that Kruger will continue to improve, thus making Bolland very expendable.

nah i wont go nuts. he is fine for where he plays. love him on the 3rd line but when he is discussed as a top 6 than i get feisty. : )

Ah, but would you rather have him on the top line or Carcillo? I vote neither, Stalberg is great on the third line, and Carcillo is an ideal fourth line guy.
