Draft picks have always been under a microscope. It's just that some microscopes are more powerful than others.

Josh Vitters was under a lot of pressure and still is. He's a perfect example.

Yea thats true. I still think the top 3 picks Cubs take will be under more since they will be the so called beginning of the rebuilding ERA

They update this periodically, I think, but if one of the top five can drop to #6 that'd be great. If not, Correa sounds like a good pick anyway. I think Theo and Jed realize that it's very unlikely any of the top 5 will fall to #6, which is why they worked out Correa and Fried and not the other guys (at least if they did, they didn't tell anyone).

Yeah I would love for one of those big 3 college arms to fall to us, but that seems really unlikely. I trust their judgement if it comes to Fried or Correra.

If Zunino falls that far I think they would have to think hard about that one.

Goldstein says that the chances Correa isn't taken yet are very slim, so we'd probably be getting one of the five ahead of him.

I like that LHP that Cubs brought in. Heard comparisons to Hamels. So if Cubs sign Hamels what a perfect teacher :troll:

6. Chicago Cubs: Albert Amora, OF, Mater Academy (FL)

Pretty much every eyeball in the Cubs front office has been spotted at Almora's late-season games, and his private workout was impressive. One source said this afternoon, “If the Cubs had the No. 1 pick in the entire draft, they might take Almora."

Just saw that too d3a, it is interesting... I would like more info on him, doesn't seem to be as highly touted as Correa or Fried, but if the Cubs like him that much...

Almora was one of the first mock draft consensus picks for the Cubs at #6.
