I really hope there is no interest between the two parties. Would just be another terrible contract. So much skill but no heart.

I'm not his biggest fan but I'll take him if the deal is right. Right now our biggest chip is probably hammer, maybe Bolland. Hopefully we can get something done.

I mean, I'd take Semin at $4mil...but part of the big reason I'd stay away from him is that I don't expect for that low of a cap hit to happen.

Anything can happen though, I didn't see Vokoun's last two deals happening but they did...and I still don't understand them.

Wouldn't be beneficial for the Blackhawks to do that...unless there was more coming back. I don't think there is a trade to be made between the Hawks/Wings on that level.

With the ridiculous prices that some Dmen are getting through free agency (see Carle and Wideman) Hjalmarsson's contract has to be looking pretty damn good to some teams out there.

Hawks should be able to get better than a 3rd/4th line grinder for Hjalmarsson in a trade, even if it means they have to add to the deal.
