Rockies just won. Just about everyone in the top five won except the Cubs and Astros. Stupid Astros. At least Cubs gain ground on #2.

From a build-the-franchise point of view at this time, it really irks me that there are teams that are even worse than the Cubs right now

Stupid Rockies and Astros :fist:

Astros win! :woot:

Come on, Rockies, even though you're playing the Giants and I'd prefer the Giants to win the NL West but I want the #2 pick so priorities!!!

It's incredible to note that the Astros are 40 games under .500

Well they did just play a stretch of baseball that matched the '16 Athletics in terms of suckiness.

Cubs keep pace with Rockies, who are still doing their 75-pitch limit plan.

Is there even a list of potential picks? And reports on them? Like who or what we could get in the draft? More 16 year olds or what?

You probably will not have any lists hammered down until next year, around March or April. Even then the lists can always change up until the drat itself. The point is to just get first dibs and then worry about who the best available player is later.

NL standings as of today:

1. Reds (69-46)
2. Pirates (64-50)
3. Cardinals (62-53)
4. Brewers (52-61)
5. Cubs (44-69, 24 GB)
6. Astros (38-78)

Cubs are 7.5 games up on Astros. They can get within 4.5 games and overtake the Rockies, at least, if they get swept this coming series. Sad but true.
