Stupid Rockies. But at least the Giants will stay ahead of the Dodgers unless the Rockies make a crazy comeback.

I'm glad that Samardzija is probably going to get a win.

I'm mad that the Cubs aren't losing while the Rockies are killing Milwaukee :D

Cubs lose a game on Houston, keep pace with Colorado, still have a comfortable cushion for a top three spot.

Rockies win. Cubs gain a game on both Colorado and Houston.

Nice to see the job Epstein has done has reduced the board to creating threads such as this one.

I guess when Theo and Jed mentioned winning the WS was a goal for 2012, repeatedly, they really didn't mean it.
In fact, they have mentioned the entire array for this year, up to and including a complete rebuild for this year, and years to follow.
Their abilities to mult-task are ingenius.

If you honestly would have believed them about winning a WS this year, you're insane.

It was impossible to win this year no matter who was at the helm.

Yeah, even now they still aren't mathematically eliminated, but it's even more incredibly unlikely

After 120 games, the Cubs are half a game back of Colorado (#2) and nine back of Houston (#1). 26 games back of first, 19.5 back of the second wild card. Elimination number for the division is 16, 23 for the wild card.

The Cubs are bad at baseball, but not bad enough :fist:
