I mean I know ARod is what he is to people, but the Yankees are being petty.

I agree. I am no fan of arod, but Girarfi saying hos job does not entail farewell tours immediately after he played jeter 141 games when hebwas literally bottom 5 in OPS in MLB sounds ridiculous.

Back to Stanton for a minute, I just read that the broken bat double off the base of the wall came off his bat at 95.7 MPH. If that guy is natural, he is the strongest player to play this game. That is unheard of and probably never seen before.

Strongest now? Sure. Ever? Impossible to say, the tech didn't exist until very, very recently.

You ever seen a sawed off bat hit the base of an outfield wall on the fly?

Kinda. I saw Johnny Callison hit a broken bat HR off of Larry Jackson in Wrigley. I think the bat actually broke in half.

Im not saying it couldnt have happened. I just know Stantons bat was sawed off at the handle. There was almost nothing left in his hand. Mattingly said he had never seen that before and I havent either. So, it could have but it isnt often. lol My only point.

Remember a couple years ago when Frazier hit that HR after the bat left his hands? That was pretty crazy.

Strasburg on the DL. Would be nice for the Cubs to put some distance between them and the Nationals. Padres for 3 would be a good start.

Just more chips falling in place for the Cubs. Starting more and more to believe the curse ends this year.

Strasberg has already had TJ and if he's done, the Nat's are finished. SF has been playing like crap but I'm still scared of them. I really don't want to face Baumgarten in the playoffs.

I would love to play the Dodgers, Miami or St. Louis. I still don't like the Mets match up but it will be a struggle for them to make the playoffs. Things are shaping up fairly nice for us. We just need to rest our starters and make sure they are fresh for October.
