Fields career year still had him as a bottom 10 starting QB.

Williams still had 30 TDs and just 5 Ints without Addison.
If his stats can be 30 TDs, 5 interceptions, and 3,600+ passing yards, with a really bad o-line and the loss of Addison, man that would be great. Those are stats that players with a decent line don’t even pout up.

Please select a QB! Let’s make it 5 before pick 9. Odds are low for 5 but one can hold out hope. I think 4 going is close to a lock.

Our day to draft superstars early in the draft is for next year. We trade down this year from #9 in small jumps and accumulate at least one 2024 40 - 60 round pick and also 2025 picks if possible. Someone is going to give a 2025 1st or 2nd to move up this year. Superstars can be had next year if we have two 1st round picks or 1st round and three 2nd rounders. Plus every other draft picks. We can even move up to areas we want with all that capital in play.

Don’t worry guys, there will be superstars in next year’s draft too.

Possibilities below.

next year when they have worse (but more) picks you mean??

and why wait a year to get your QB additional help at this point? that development is probably more important than a DT, but hey…

Doesn’t he have WRs already? 2 number 1 receivers? Are we not adding more receivers this year with trading down to help with his “development” but hey…

Come on it’s not rocket science. If 4 QBs are drafted in top 8 in this years draft, Bears will get the top 2 DE or top 3 WR. That’s it. Why make it difficult.

I want Turner or Verse with 9th pick. Latu is an injury risk. Can get a good WR and Center in rounds 3 and 4. That’s it.

I agree but do think they should do a detailed investigation into Latu's health. He is the best pass rusher and would be the first one chosen with a clean bill of health.

I'm seeing Verse go 15-25 in a bunch of expert mocks.

I would prefer they not take a guy that might not make it 6 years in the league. At least not in the 1st.

5 seems like a pipe dream since that would require a Nix/Penix top 10 selection.
I'm hopeful for 4 since DJ said that the NFL peeps expect this.
Even 4 opens up the possibility of the Bears getting a blue chipper at 9.

4 QB's, 2 WR's, LT going 1-7 leaves Odunze/Turner available at 8 and the other for the Bears at 9.
3 QB's, 3 WR's, LT going 1-7 leaves Turner at 8 and then then Bears.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Verse at 9.
I haven't studied him but he seems more like a bull rusher with minimal bend who might have limited upside as a pass rusher.
If that's the case, I wouldn't take a player like that top 10.
Another scenario that would help, is CB 1 going before 9. The Chargers have a huge need there too. Unfortunately, the Titans traded for Sneed to fill their void.

it'll be interesting...i dont think you'll see 4 qb's in the top 8, one of them will likely fall, right now that qb seems to be maye. if maye falls to the bears at 9 and the rest of the order goes something like below, do you trade down?

Bears - QB
Washington - QB
NE - QB

Do you think Maye or JJ are getting past the Giants at 6?

There isn't many scenarios I'd hate, but this is one of them simply based off the selections
