Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Jason Williams, Deron Williams are all easily better passers just to name a few.

All of those guys could average just as many assists as Rondo does - except for Williams because he lacks the crossover and quickness he once had. Kidd does too but he is still a solid eough player to average big minutes.

Look, obviously Rondo is a very good player and worthy of being All Star. But he isn't even in Paul, Williams, and Rose's ballpark.

Wow, J-Will a better passer than Rondo? You seriously had me roflol on that one. I don't know any rational thinking NBA fan who would make that statement.

I've seen Williams make some passes that Rondo have not dreamed of attempting in a game. He is slower than he used to be, but I have to give him that title over Rondo.

Rondo is a much, much better defender and rebounder and is much faster than Williams. That's why he's better.

7-2 without him until KG went down. And look at Paul Pierce's assists and how they went way up after Rondo went down.

I'm not saying that Boston is a better team without Rondo because that is ridiculous. All I'm saying is that the other players have the capability of steppig up in his absence and make up for a large proportion of Rondo's assists and are still a good passing/shooting team in his absence.

They played in that span Philly twice, Indy twice, Charlotte, Detroit, NY, ATL, & the Magic. They lost to the Magic, for obvious reasons, & struggled against Philly both times, as well as NY & Indy & lost to the Pistons. They had only 1 or 2 blow outs & could easily have lost 3 more games against teams they should mop the floor with.

Rondo is important to their team, sorry.

When did I say he wasn't important to their team? He isn't as important as Pierce or KG, but he's important for sure.

And look at the Celtics' assists and turnover numbers since Rondo went down. They were doing just fine until KG went down.

Don't bring the facts Rami, we all know Rondo is the reason they are so good. Has nothing to with KG, Allen and Pierce and Shaq being great players. It's all due to Rondo.

Pierce is the main catalyst while Allen, Garnett, and Robinson have also stepped up. I never spoke up Pierce as if he was Magic but the Celtics are still a great passing team- even Rondoless.

The Celtics definitely could beat MIA or LAL without Rondo. You are the one fooling yourself.

I don't think they can beat the Bulls in a series without Rondo, let alone Miami or the Lakers...

Honestly, to me, it would be a tough call vs. LA or MIA. Boston can do it but losing Rondo would damage their chances.

BOS would destroy CHI without Rondo as long as they are healthy.

They were doing fine against mediocre teams...nothing to write home about...

Of course he's important, as stated before the coach said it was his team to run! How can he not be important. The dumb ass statement is that he is not important...that is just plain silliness.

Then Rose must not be that great a player after all then...

haha. according to what logic? Because I think the Bulls would lose to a Rondoless Boston team?

Absolutely...if they are missing Rondo and start Nate Robinson against Rose and still destroy the Bulls, which means what...sweep? 4-1? Something like that? Rose must not be that great of a player...

I don't believe it would be the Bulls getting destroyed by the Celtics without Rondo, I think you are going waaaaaay over the top...

KG/Davis > Boozer/Taj
Shaq/KP/JO uhhh let's say = Noah

Rose > West/Robinson... sure

But... Paul Pierce and Ray Allen destroy Deng and Brewer...

I'd say 4-1 Boston... 4-2 if the Bulls were lucky.

Paul Pierce and Ray Allen didn't destroy Salmons and Gordon two years ago, what makes you think they would destroy Deng and whoever the Bulls put out there at the position now? And both Salmons and Gordon both were hurt...so I don't understand...

Well I called that series 4-3 in BOS's favor before the series, and that's what happened.

That series was mostly about Boston having no answers to defend the Bulls from the perimeter. The difference in that series was ultimately that Pierce and Allen were too good for Salmons and Gordon.

Gordon actually had a pretty horrible game 7...
